Talk sense!
by Sanjay Jamdade on Sep 11, 2008 12:31 AM  | Hide replies

It is a typical scene on Rediff with software employees sitting in posh offices sit and type anti Thackeray and anti this and that.

But contemplate, is Jaya Bacchhan as tough as say "Behan Mayawati" or "J Jayalalitha" or "Mamata Banerjee" or "Medha Patkar"?

Yeah one should express opinion but it better be not one sided. I have no reason to vote for either of the Senas in the forth coming elections. But note the point that Raj is only pointing to a law that existed even before his birth. His tactics may be crude and occasionally despicable, but you shouldn't have reason to give Jaya a free hand and tie Raj's hand behind his back.

Human beings should know what they are capable of fighting and what not. NO one should support Jaya.

Yeah every one detests Raj's tactics. But don't forget Balasaheb's instigation of riots case got dismissed within the first minute of court arguments.

Blood is thicker than water. You may never know when political equations in the state change. Aren't NCP and Congress factions of the same party? arent they in coalition? Aren't CPI and CPI M together in Governments?

When Balasaheb and Amar Singh don't need the Bacchhan's they will drop them like a hot potato.

Where will the Bacchhan's be after that?

Instead ask the Bacchhan's to keep shut and stay away from politics.

Why should Bachchan stay away from politics ?? Jaya is the queen of MP and not UP, her origin is from Bhopal. She told lies that she is a UP wali and she should have spoken in Bengali ! The real solution to this serious crisis is that Raj should contact Mamata didi and take her help. After all Mamata didi is also holding Corporates to ransom in Bengal, isn't it !

Jaya After all is a film personality. She has every right to speak or say what she wants in whatever language she wishes. It is utter lawlessness to threaten somebody in such anti-social manner. In what capacity is Raj enforcing his own rule or law in India?

I don't agree with strong arm tactics. But I don't feel the remarks by Jaya were as innocent as are being made out now. Especially the last line regarding Marathi people. I feel she erred. The real problem is everyone talks about India being one country and we Indians being one only when they rech Mumbai. Mumbai is supposed to be patient, cosmopolitan, accommodating. But when the same city is ignored when it comes to allocation of funds for development and important projects are stalled to accommodate illegal shanties of immigrants some one has to raise voice. I don't think any one will be against law abiding non Maharashtrian staying in a legal construction. I feel the rel problem is that the city is bursting at seams and definitely it does not have infinite capacity to accommodate. Thats why all these issues come up. But we keep on arguing about irrelevant matters and keep on posturing rather than arriving at root cause.
Harshad

My Dream of India is a respectful and healthy thinking, rationally thinking India, not wasting time India, supporting minority rights India, loving, friendly, accepting India, India which has meanings of its own and respects differences of others,And India full of love and respect again, then only will be our country awake. Please ponder over my words, I guarantee, whoever ponders on them, will get lots of success and happiness in co-operation and co-ordination with our fellow people. And I dont mean only India, lets even forget national boundaries and tie everyone in bonds of love and understanding and respect and acceptance. There should be no place for prejudice.

Yeah Mr Golcha and preferably say this standing alone in the street, not in an AC room hiding behind the boss's computer.

I don't agree with Raj's politics which sends even brave men hiding, but at the same time even Jaya Bacchhan should learn to control her tongue.

You should pick troubles that you can fight, otherwise shut up.

Sanjay, By saying this, you are supporting also the foul language of Thackerays. This reminds me literally of Draupadi Chir Haran..Lets not cross borders of shame and decency in public life and even in private lives. Lets grow into a good mass of people, civilized and cultured. And for that I suggest we watch good movies.

Yes...well said. There is a saying in malayalam..." if you have nose that flies when you sneeze, better not have it"...Are the Marathi language or the Thackerays on such a flimsy ground that an insignificant comment by an insignificant person(definitely Jaya is insignificant when compared to the stalwarts Maharashtrians) can harm so much? The Thackerays are either not confident of themselves as Marathis or are cowards to panic at such minor pokings ...

Hmmm,
Well said, But you know what we are doing, for a crap like Raj Thakrey, we are dishonoring our president of India, a powerful president in world.
And dishonoring constitutionally mandated president is not good. So you can't say any thing wrong with her by dragging other subjects into that matter. She is completely innocent.
I mean comparing with Pratibha Patil is not wrong but commenting on her that she is worst president, i completely feel same on you. What other president did and what she needs to do, can you just explain?

Do u think that because she is President of India so she should not be included in this mess. And a poor person who is beaten on the roads of Mumbai has no rights in this country. I feel shame on you that you discriminate people's rights on the basis of their position. Pratibha Patil before being President od India is a human being. She is also doing a job as a taxiwala does. If a poor person is beaten on the roads, u feel proud of being a marathi. It means u r a coward and attack only poor people as they can not do anything against u. We r not coward like u and I feel shame on u. If a poor person is asked what is he doing in your state, why cant we ask president of India what is she doing here. I dont have anything against Pratibha Patil, but u think for urself that does she has more rights than a normal Indian. Its just tit for tat dude. They both are humans and they both have equal rights. And Pratibha Patil is President of India. Its a profession and she is getting paid for that. We need to think it the way people in western countries think about their politicians. They are answerable for each and everything.

I dont whether you replied me or wrongly clicked my reply button? If you see in 2nd line I wrote about CRAP Raj Thakrey. Still you are saying I am a Marathi or etc. Whatever my region is, do you think any thing happen is due to Pratibha Patil? If we are fighting with each other or we are doing any thing wrong or right, what to do with Pratibha Patil. Why we should drag her on our conversion.

i am from bihar and settled in mumbai. I have been to each and every part of Maharashtra and i find marathi ppl very nice. Even though i am not in agreement of thackreys aggressive approch. I will say its our duty to be grateful to marathi culture and language. Even though hindi is my mother in the sence it has given birth to me, but i also consider marathi as my mother, coz its she who has provided food to my mouth and i consider this mother greater then the one who gave birth to me.
Jai Maharashtra.
