Illayaraja is past..no one knows him except South..ARR is pride of India..He is carrying IR 's legacy and his own also.. a legend..

Ilayaraja is Past, Present and Future of music. A.R.Rahman has to compose any music after touching the basic notes of Ilayaraja. I'm not criticizing Rahman, he's a definitely a good talent from India.
Ilayaraja rose to fame when Orchestration was in use rather than computer and it sound graphics.
Last but not least, not knowing Ilayaraja is not innocence but ignorance.

COMPARE..COMPARE...COMPARE..Will you compare your father and mother. Is so you are an idiot. I always listen to Ilaiyaraja's old melodies almost every day and float in heaven. But I buy ARR's CD the day it releases.

who said that IR is not good..I will thrash him if anybody says like that. but as we r talking about ARR, we should restrict ourselves to him..no point in talking of other MD..otherwise we are disrespecting his individualism

Man I too listen IR..but ARR is more innovative..but when when you are discribing such aspects then P.Hridaynath Mangeshkar [brother of Lataji] is more mature composer than IR..listen to him..not knowing Hridayanath is also big ignorence

Your right friend, ILLayaraja is always a KING and ace composere. Still we can enjoy his songs. Even ARR is good but can not be compared with Illayaraja.

"R.K. Sekhar great music director" u got this absolutely wrong buddy...ARR father was a small time composer and i think a trumpet player for other composers...
Rahman is the one music director in India who does lot of research work in the Music. Each and every film he works he does new things and all his research are great. He is the Best.
I am a die hard fan of Rahman. Recently liking his music for Yuvvraaj. I like it too much. Every song in it special. Specially Dil Ka Rishta.. For me when I listen ARR's song for the firs time. It is new to me.. I sometimes can't get the music of it.. After listening to it more than 4-5 times, I get the soul of it. A.R.R. is always coming with genuine masterpiece.

hey its the same for me. i have never got his music in the first instance. only after repeated listening one can comprehend it
