Dude, if you do know how to review, then start up a blog... do you know what that is? Atleast that way you can make people listen to what you have to say... I doubt rediff is going to contact. (Sorry to burst your bubble :)

Hey dudes..what are yu talking about...i would rate HJ's composition for ghajini 3.5/5 but rahman's composition -goes all the way to 4.5..The reason being HJ gives a good score once in a while like out of 7 films one or 2 may really rock...but that is not the case with rahman..with each film he grows and all of his compositions are hit..Its true that it takes time for rahman's composition to gel in and to grow inside yu..but remeber he is the only guy who can be compared..nobody compares illyaraja to HJ..but everyone compares ARR with HJ and Illyaraja Himesh pritam and SEL...This is truly a masterpiece from Rehman..Just imagine even after knowing that the songs of Tamil ghajini were hits he took a challenge and has provided us with some extremely amazing songs..Hats off to you rahman..Nobody would have done that...

Nobody can come anywhere near Ilayaraja - he is the one only true composer of all times - ARR is at best a good sound engineer..

Grow up. No need to be jealous of ARR. Ur MD's time is out and he has done his best. But sadly he couldnt make his mark outside Tamil/Telugu films. Accept the truth.

Well I am a Tamilian, don't listen to ARR songs second time or don't care and not interested to go by the media and public hype. Arr music . I don't care if he wins Oscar or not. Winning Oscar does not mean that all are listening. Here one person I am not listening. So tell me is the Oscar is worth even if he gets it?

Sorry Rangarajan. Its not true to accept. ARR is one of my fav md. But Raaja is everlasting. Tell me from your heart, can ARR or simply any1 give bgm's the way Raaja did. Rahman - very good melodies peppy numbers. Ilayaraaja - His music will definitely activate any music lovers brain cells. I accept ARR is the best, if Ilayaraaja is not taken into account.

harris have done 26 movies...around 20 are big musical hits(DINT HEAR LAST ALBUM "VAARANAM AAYIRM"?..realy awesome)..dont compare with ARR..overhyped person harris is the best

Dont ever open your mouth about Harris who is fit for copying or giving repetitive music. Rahman is any day better than Harris. But There is noone to surpass Ilayaraaja- the definition of music.

Harris songs are hits mostly in Tamilnadu only, among Tamil-speaking people. But a music director cannot be judged only based on the number of hits. If that is the case, Deva is the best bcos he has the most number of HITS in Tamil.
You have 2 consider various factors like originality of music, variety of musical scores, challenge of musical subject, etc. before judging a MD.
Can you tell me how many really challenging projects has Harris worked in? Has he worked for a period film like Lagaan or Bose? Almost all films he has worked for require 'easy listening' music. Can you spot any variety in Harris music? Bheema sounds similar to Ghajini, Dhaam Dhoom sounds similar to Unnale..
Why do all Harris songs have a heard-before feel? Why does he sound so similar to ARR most of the time? Doesnt he have his own style? Can you tell me
guys i have been reading ur comments ,im a north indian staying in tamilnadu.pls do not compare the music of hj with that of ar.they two are completely different.ive heard both the tamil version as well as now the hindi version also.let me tell u that ,hj music is good but it doesnt have a universal appeal,while ar's music has a universal appeal.that's were the difference lies.

yup .. I agree with u .. I am also not a tamilian but i have lived in tamilnadu for quite long time.. Somebody in this comments list was telling that when HJ was with Rehman it was because of him that Rehman was able to give good music ... What a crap.. Whatever few numbers in both the albums are going to be my all time favourites..

Looks like most of them in the comments list are so used to listening to the Tamil Albumn .. and still cant get out of it!!! or they are just tamilians who dont want to accept that Hindi Gajini is also equally great.
Ghajini is the best gift ARRehman can give to us. so different from all the routine stuff u hear everyday.
I have heard the Tamil version . frankly other than 2 or 3 songs all others are so so...
