Shiva...

I'm ashamed to say that the only movie i've seen of this magnificient actor is Shiva (the old one off course!!) and that one role really left a mark on me as a kid. For me in terms of sheer menace and screen presence for a villain, there's Gabbar(Sholay) and then there's Bhavani (Shiva). Only the good die young..RIP dude..

In a way happy for him...

Raghuvaran must have suffered a lot trying to live with the mediocrity around him. For a man so passionate about his craft and work, departure from such a hopeless scenario must have been a relief. May his soul finally rest in peace.

Have seen very few of his movies. Yes, his portrayal of villainy is superb.
Not loud, always underplayed.
No exaggeration to bracket him in the august company of Al Pacino!

Most of the people don't know Raghuvaran is a malayali who settled in chennai for film acting. He is from Kollangodu, kerala. His best ever performance is in "Daivathinte Vikrithikal"-Alphonse, an anglo Indian charecter. He acted somany other malayalam films also. Some of them are Mrigaya, Vyooham, etc. Who can forgot his role in Manirathnam's Anjali. His death is a big loss for both Malayalam & Tamil Film Industry.

It is a great loss to tamil film industry. May the departed soul rest in peace.
While on the subject can the media (TV channels) who thrive on these actor / actress movies can't show a movie of the actor / actress on the day they pass away

Here it is mentioned only about the lose of Tamil Film Industry. What about Malayalam? No one can ever forget his role(Alphonse Sayip) in the film 'Daivatinte Makhan'. He was a honest and true actor. May his sole rest in peace.

not daivathinte makan...daivathinte vikruthikal... The former is just another trash movie...

I agree with the comment though....This is the 'Tamil only' biography...You could have mentioned that in the title..

There was this comical action hero role in Malayalam called "Vyooham" too..(just trivia)
