I am a smoker and I know one thing...If God happened to be a smoker,he would also be unable to quit it easily.You don't control cigarettes they control you,poor bloke is an addict just like me,and must be having the cigarette withdrawls so went and have a smoke, and these buggers just make an issue out of it,first that Chidambram makes cigarettes costly then ban it at several places.....hey you want to check smoking either ban it or if you say there should be freedom make it so costly that even millionaires can't afford it,make one will navy cut cost 1 crore rupees people will quit automatically including me as even though I am an addict,I can't afford that much!!!!,stop arresting poor blokes and saying chi chi to them,this is an addiction,not a habit and in no way a hobby.

The urge to smoke is due to nicotine withdrawal symptoms. You can use nicotine patches,chewing gums to get your nictotine kick and then gradually wean yourself off like any other addiction. You might get professional help in this regard.
Sure,you can quit smoking.You have to be motivated,mentally steadfast and keep reminding yourself the horrific consequences of smoking. It would be a win ,win situation ,saving your crores (money)and health.
You can also serve the community by helping others like your children by counseling them not to get on the smoking bandwagon.
Hollywood movies in 1940s ,1950s glamourized cigarette smoking. Actors usually used smoking as a projection of a debonair ,cool style ; as an acting tool or an acting crutch. Even as late as 1960s , in USA advertisements for cigarettes were supported by laudatory statements by physicians.
Medical profession has condemned smoking for the past 40 years and has waged a public campaign to educate. There should not be anyone left out there who is not aware of the risks of smoking.However,movie idols should be very careful about what they say and do in public,because young impressionable folks would follow them irrespective of what the family members or the doctors say.
Needless to say cigarette smoking(tobacco smoking/chewing)is one of the worst kind of health hazard ever inflicted on humans.It leads to cancer,heart disease,high blood pressure, strokes and premature aging.
So Shah Rukh Khan Sahib should for the sake of his family and for his own life should quit smoking at the earliest.There are aides available to assist in giving up smoking.I have seen lots and lots of young and old die of smoking after a protracted,painful illness.
Smoking is a common act of a geneneral human, But SHK is the King Khan of Indian Film Industry. It is not so fair that he should get notice on this act. If NOTE is so serious on Cigerettes over each hand, then it should take a serious action against each smoker. Try to rectify your rules that where should this required to be applicable.
U help manufacture a product, distribute it, make it available in all petty shops all over the country, nd trial the consumers WTF? Y can't the NGOs fight against the manufacturers than against the promoters! I'm a smoker I don't care if i die of it,life sucks! but save the beginners! The pollution nd smoke from vehicles in the city r killin the people more than cigars! yeah i forgot noone really cares right itz all money!
