Do Lafa marna chahiye to these useless NGO organizations. Hundreds and thousands smoke, we all know Shahrukh smokes and he does not endorse any brands. Mil gaya bichare ko, abhi to promote theie organization - such cheapness!! This has now become a serial issue for some organization, AB, Aamir now SRK - all a target for riding their publicity campaign. Go and do some work buddy!!
What is the law under which he can be prosecuted ? He was smoking so ? The fine is Rs. 200/- (or whatever). At most he can be asked to pay the fine. Also, why is needless publicity given to this NGO ? There is no case and no issue. These NGO's should be fined for needless litigation.

smoking in public place is illegal. however small may be the punishment. supporting such crimes make one eligible to be sued for contemplation of court order.does mr vasude...ignor that on the plea that at best he wud go to jail for a few days only or wud pay a small fine ?
Shahrukh or Amitabh or whoever are culprits to smoke in public if and only if the venues where they smoked have banned it. A cricket stadium is definitely not a non smoking zone and a celebrity of Sharukh's stature will have never violated if there was any restriction. He is more conscious of his credibility and public than worrying about passive smoking. It seems most of the NGOs have no work in hand and have to adopt to such tactics as suing celebrities in order to gain some mileage.
I dont think stars the culprits in promoting smoking. Primary culprits are parents usually father. If father smokes, son will smoke. Then its friends who will influence. First time smoking will be usually encouragement from friends. Seeing stars with Cigarette possibly will act as a catalyst.
