Entertainment is necessary, but not at the expense of improbable storylines a la Karan Johar. Remember KKHH, tell me one Indian college which has a professor like Anupam Kher or Archana Puran Singh !
Movies should induce us to think, intellectually or socially. A fallout of such prodding would be our social consciousness. And this is necessary, especially in our country where social oddities have become the norms.
Parodies, musicals, comedies-everything is required, but we also need movies like METRO.
Just saw the movie - really good! makes you laugh, makes you think - very enjoyable. A jarring note though in my opinion were the singers. Songs are very good and very apt, but did we need to see the singers - made it seem like a music video at times. Overall - recommend it.
Is it just me who thought Kangana did a fantastic job in the movie?I mean her expressions were quite understated, the sort of character that doesnt speak a lot but conveys through her body language,I agree the running scene in the end was a bit awkward, but Kangana, babes, you did a good job..but Im still a Konkana fan..I think she's the thinking man's Kajol? :)
