I think, this is by far one of the most precise, elegant, detailed and most importantly a very well analyzed and articulated movie review I have come across. Its a reader's delight. I could go on and on. I want to watch the movie now, not primarily because of its merits, but to see how it aligns with the review. Raja, excellent review. Keep up the great work.

Looks like someone has a hard time accepting ones own shortcomings. Please try and write a review of your own in the language you are most comfortable in. Its about expression, not language dumbo!
I don't understand, if Metro is such a good film why hasn 't it done wonders at the box-office? There seems to be a discrepency between what the general public likes and what the critics think is a good film. May be that is why Bollywood sticks to its usual formula and plays safe. Film-making is a creative process but one needs to make money!

My take: A good film is a good film irrespective of its results at a box office. The "entertainment value" of a movie well, is a different thing. The term "public" is pretty wide ranging in terms of tastes, likes and dislikes. Movie-making as a business may incline more towards making money. Movie-making as a creative art, I believe, inclines towards the artistic value of the movie.

Hi Reena, In my view, it's a tragedy with us in India as masses found themselves lost in Karan Johar, Preity Zinta, SRK, AB, Rani, Yash nexus no matter what they are offering. Similar issue was touched in much hyped KANK which indeed was a disaster but you see, it worked to the satisfaction on Box office. On the contrary, it's sad that films like Metro, Kabul Express, Khosla ka ghosla etc don't get their worth in terms of box office collections. Hopefully, scenario may improve in the nearest future & talented directors like Anuraag Basu, Kabir Khan, Madhur Bhandarkar get their due appreciation in terms of money too.

very well made movie... well acted, good sound track, songs came at the right times and are presented well...overall it was a fantastic movie... the only thing which could have been avoided was the horse scene in the climax... but still ill give it 4/5...
