Raja Sen or whatever your name is, I really wonder if you know how to review english movies. I think you should stick to reviewing hindi movies because your thinking is still not evolved for these kind of movies and cinema. Or let me guess...did you watch the hindi version of 300? Is that why you dont like the dialogues? And for your info, the movie just made $70 mil in the opening weekend. Prove the numbers wrong?

how are boxoffice numbers indicator of movie's quality ? pirates sequel made 400 million last year and it wasnt even half as good as the original !. 300's trailers and marketing campaign is more responsible for big opening weekend than 300 the movie !

The opinions will always be subjective. Take a look at the discussion here and you find all kinds of opinions. For you, perhaps, the last pirates was not half as good as the first one but for me maybe it was. The purpose of movies is to entertain people. It might entertain some and bore others while making money at the same time. And the movies which make money are considered commercially successful. And 300 will be successful commercially. And thats what the numbers prove. I doubt if there has been a movie made which has been able to satisfy everybody who has watched it. Its just not possible.
you know what ... you might call this madness but then this is SPARTA....
man dude ... pls write more reviews on Karan Johar.... this aint ur genre this aint ur field....

ACTUALLY RAJA IS A CHARLATAN WHO PREFERS TO ACT AS A KNOW-ALL ABOUT THE INS AND OUTS OF HOLLYWOOD...
For once, i agree with Raja Sen , 300 's trailer was much more exciting than the 300 the movie ! . i didnt expect a landmark historical epic when i went in to see 300 , i was expecting some real fun with lot of visual candy with eye popping effects and loads of adrenaline rush , but the experience of watching 300 was quite underwhelming . it delivered so little , maybe my expectations were set too high . There were lot of cliched lines about freedom , honor , justice etc which we've heard thousands of time. Action was good , looked unique at first but got repetitive , with the 300 heroes jumping again and again slashing persian throats . The whole CGi thing keeps you from getting involved , you know back of your head that actors just reacting in front of blue screen .
Frankly too much sound and fury and nothing much else .

i went to watch this movie 300 after reading the review by rediff team just now came back from the threatre n it is mid night 1230 io m writing this message. the theme of this message is the same as said by other viewers, the film is wonderful n a masterpiece, but i request the rediff team to change the reviewer/ reviewers with narrow mind set, who watches the movie in commercial point of view with out understanding the essence of the work. if u dont, no problem its like, v dont pay attention to read ur reviews/ comments, so simple as such.....

this is an AWESOME movie.Watch it for graphics,cinematography and fictional characters. Anyone who doesn't like this movie doesn't know a thing about latest advanced cinematography. This movie gets ***** stars!!

What is this guy trying to prove " The worst reviewer of all times" . Even if you dont post reviews, we dont mind. but, dont post Mr. Sens reviews in the future. just like rang de basanti,this movie made me tremble n shake, not by fear but by a heightened sense of things. i think this movie can only be loved or hated cause tears apart the ways of the world which support the weak n forsake the strong. the fact that it left you cold mr.reviewer,means you are not a real man,worthy of sparta world,or even to watch it.
