Excellent Movie
by Jennifer Dsouza on Mar 17, 2007 01:15 PM  | Hide replies

I have really enjoyed the movie throughout. It is a excellent adaptation of Frank Millers book. The whole theatre has given standing ovation once the movie was over, I have seen this for the first time in my life.

It is a must watch, dont even give a damn about Raja Sen's review, as we all know his reviews are only for Yash/Karan/Shahrukh/etc.,

I will give it 5/5 and this movie is going to get good number of Academy Nominations.

it probably might be nominated in visual and sound effects category , but lot of big hollywood blockbusters are still on the way like spiderman, pirates sequels which will definitely major contenders in that categories.

apart dont expect 300 make a big impact at the oscars next year :)

the best movie so far....
by Aryan on Mar 17, 2007 12:52 PM

raja sen doesnt seem to have grown up reading comics...by far this is the best adaptation of any comic... yes, the scenes are unreal..but frank miller never lets you know that... ive never seen the audience applaud so much for scenes in a movie..for your information.. the user rating for 300 on imdb is 9/10.. that should eventually speak for the movie...

Right on target!!!

Fantastic assertions. Infact I am going through the pain of registering into this pure bull process of registering for posting thing.
I have not read any of the other reviews by you, so cannot judge if all the comments that are listed above are veritable. India is becoming a country where the masses takes a new definition :- The set of people who will buy anything if sold down their throat.
The only reason I think 300 is popular is because of its publicity, best defined vulgar.
I went to watch the movie after the stunning fight sequences, which are truly out of the world. But where is the bloody script!!! Snyder has got one plot, a blocking a narrow pass. Then rest is just a sequence of processions coming at Butler's herd and getting kild. Most of the women I know liked it a lot, guess why? Eye candy appeal!

Frankly the voilence in the movie is almost cartoonish , something your kid has already witnessed on cartoon network or a video game.
there are couple of love scenes though chopped heavily by the censors , might be little too much for a 8 year old . take him to "bridge to terabathia" instead . you and ur kid will enjoy it more than 300 trust me.

Marvelous AND Forgetable

"foul-faced"? he looked like a worthy enemy to this kid at heart. Riculously brave? No A-list actors? No pretending to be telling us historical accuracy but just entertainment? Thank God 'cos that means there wont be any A list bull. Looking forward to this even more now in the UK judging by reviews like this.

300
by uday karkera on Mar 17, 2007 09:06 AM

i appreciate your view on the movie. i had gone to see 300 with my friends, its really a spectacular movie. mr.Raja sen, even after the movie was over we were discussing about it for nearly 3- 4 hrs. its technically a very made movie. thats the reason foreign movies score over indian movies. defiantely emotions are added to form a basic storyline.
