I think the over all show was entertaining - pls we all need to have some sense of humour (regdn Amir or Shilpa) It was pun as well as leg pulling. In regds to Bachans - pls the modesty and tryn to project holier than thou act is over the limit. Whts the link between getting lifetime award and Ash is a very homely, degnified etc girl as JAYA qouted. PLS. SRK atleast openly projects is VANITY & SHALLOWNESS personified.Bt arnt we all? It refreshing that he makes fun of others at the same time pun himself. Why is required that Celebrities put a garb of we are so wonerfully holy people, we are not competing etc. N as for Amar Singh being qouted "DARINDA" we all know the truth (ask UPites). It takes guts to say it in Public and say it the way SRK did.

I agree!
Anyone who has a problem, probably lacks a sense of humour! Anyway the show was so boring that this was the only entertainment we got.. And Amar Singh lacks a sense of humour too, among other things.. He has no business to be at a film awards function.. I think he does his political work only part time! ;)

Shah Rukh is overdoing at times! though he is a talented artiste insulting pppl, highheadedness will put him down badly!! he needs to learn...Bachchans are certainly much above him in all aspects...u need to know more abt Bachchans before u comment...so what if Mrs Bachchan comments on her would be daughter in law..at least she is protarying high of her!! notr like this Guy who tried antics on all..even the evr quiet Aamir...

miss ruchi SRK is quite articulative n he does have a funny bone.. but this was a crude joke n an insult!
Srk tries to act too funny. but ppl find it irritating instead of being amused. just sample his kbc antics. after his stupid only he's the one who's found laughing. the ppl laugh forcefully only after they are indicated to do so from behind the scene.srk should grow up. regarding amar singh,he's playing the dutiful "chota bhai" to AB to perfection, so why doesnt he leave politics and join the film industry or better become the bachchan family's secretary, spokeperson,PR manager all in one.

Krishna you said it. God knows how boring it would have been without Shahrukh.
It is truly shocking to see SRK taking dig so cheaply at so many respected people of the film industry. It is objectionable the way he has commented on whether Amar sing or Amir. Even the respected Amir Khan is also humiliated in his absence with cheap utterances like "Amir goes to only Oscars". I think it is highly unbecoming of SRK stature to behave that way publicly. Then we can also opine that "SRK goes to only those functions where the awards are guaranteed in advance". One should not belittle people in public particularly in their absence in a very bad taste. One thing is for sure, many who have seen the programme on TV wil have a bad opinion on SRK. He should not take Amir's silence as granted. I think SRK stooped to low in front of milllions of Indians. Comments should me always made in lighter vein and should not hurt some body.

Sir, this is also not favourable. It doesn't look good that you only go to a particular award ceremenoy because it will give you more money and fame and not go to other ceremonies because you can't get publicity there. It looks very cheap. Iff you intend to skip award ceremonies then you should skip all. This sort of act from Amir Khan is not at all acceptable.

Amir not used to talk part in all indian filmi award function ..because..he feels that the award fixed before giving to one..but do not feel the same for oscar..so he went there..and he also expressed this feeleng very long back..what the matter behind this. this is his perseption and he has right to do that. hopefully he is protesting against these award function in his style. so i dont think any wrong with it. srk should his limit also. he always cross his limits.

In india all award functioned or fixed. Some time they give you award if not then they give you money to attend awards funtion specially srk.Do you know srk never attend any award where he knows that he will not get award, if he attend so then chagre quite fair amount of money for it. SRK just run for money and fame. So why a actor like Amir should attend these silly awards.no way.......

its a personal preferance and choice. So leave it at that. We all should respect the individual decisions. You can have a wisecrack at someone but do it in a dignified manner which doesn't hurt anyone. Regarding whether Amir should attend only oscars or filmfare or whatever - that is his personal decision. However your saying it is not acceptable - who cares about your opinion bhai. Just like you don't care about Amir's opinion.
srk should have said that he can see chamcha/pichlaggu in amarsinghs eye why amarsing is always always always present in every film function.. he want to compete srk or hrithik as hero or vilion. I feel SRK want to invite amarsingh for film like Daar or Dhoom 2 where villion is the real lead? amarsing & srk JODI NO 1 for ever
srk must try to grow up from being a bachha and stop saying kids things like 'i see devil in his eyes, etc'. he just seems to act like a bachha, be it in movies or in real life. apart from his twisted face he also seems to have a twisted sense of humour. perhaps in his eagerness to mimic others he seems to be confused with the words bachha and Bachhan.
Imagine making all those "movie artists" do some manual labor for the "material" benefits of India. Like "essential" commodity business, production work etc. If the "capital" that's made availble for bollywood is given to budding entreprenuers in Engineering, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Health care etc etc.. imagine what kind of developed economy can India become. These movie artists are all lazy buggers that are burning time/enery/financial capital. The day Movie industry gets busted in India would be a cultural revolution day day for India
Cinema production is a wasteful activity. What's the value of a movie made by spending 10-20 crores? The end product as such doesn't add any value to anybody. What is done is kind of money transfer. Someone pays someone else to act and it gets recorded (this is minimal cost). Then someone takes money from you for seeing that record. The product is mostly perishable (has mostly very limited value after the release date). Cinema producers in the end manage to take money from the consumer's pocket without adding much value to them. Product is an "art" so invaluable is not a right argument. If people pay for entertainment then I'd say the movies are overvalued. No way we should pay Rs 50 or above for a movie. It's like pricing your "roti" at Rs 5000 because some "Super Hotel" made it. But we can't tamper with prices.. it will amount to communism. Market is determining that SRK gets paid Rs 5 crore for a movie and I am calling the market as stupid and hence we should influence the market through social awareness to stop this nonsense.

You say that stop watching movies and go to the hospitals built using that money? A 20 crore investment yeilds Rs.40 crore in 3 months if the movie is well made. If 20 crore needs to become 40 crore in 3 months, the owners of those hospitals should sell the kidneys of every patient who join their hospitals. So, I suggest let the movie makers make those movies and not enter health care. We have enough of hospitals that loooooot people. Recently my friend has been charged Rs.1,00,000 for joining in a hospital for 4 days for a minor accident...

I think Mr. Governer General has completely lost his mind! "Cinema production is a WASTEFUL ACTIVITY??" I think I would define wasteful as what u r doing!! U have no idea how much money the film industry brings in to us... Get ur facts correct before making such senseless remarks..
