Com on guys this was just a witty remark and there was nothing more... We have seen a lot of comedy shows making fun of other stars and everybody loves that. What's wrong in that.... And what the hell that bloody politician has to do with the award function... Film industry is about artist not some one corrupt.... and what Mr. Bachchan is doin these days advertising for Mulayam singh and abusing Shiela Dixit.... Haven,t anybody seen the ads in NOIDA movie theaters.... I could not believe somebody like AB whom I respect so much would do something that cheap..... In my view he has lost respect of atleast one fan....ME

pradeep u really need to shut up...b in india or be it anywhere... we all after all are desis...i stay in usa n we never diff between any1..all r desis man..and we are bros!
srk must try to grow up from being a bachha and stop saying kids things like 'i see devil in his eyes, etc'. he just seems to act like a bachha, be it in movies or in real life. apart from his twisted face he also seems to have a twisted sense of humour. perhaps in his eagerness to mimic others he seems to be confused with the words bachha and Bachhan.

well bachan is a flop for 20 years. i don't know which world the bachan fans r living him. He was gr8 in Sholay but what did he give to film industry except for string of flops like boommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm for the last 15 yrs.
can anyone please tell me why sould a non filmi person like amar singh sit in 1st row while seniors liek shammi kapoor , shabana azmi , javed akhtar, dev anand, rekha , hema malini and others sit in 3rd 4th 7th row .. its perfrctly all right if he is a family member to amitabh bachchan but then he should be there in family function and not a ceremony like filmfare which was from this year only for film fraternity...
as for SRK he may be arrogant but he was just conducting a show and he was man enough to apologise..
Pls mr. amar singh dont use amitabh bachchan's strature and popularity for ur own beneift .. if u guts do something on ur own

to ur answer shirish....politics is more about the glamour factor-nothing to do with the betterment of india.

you are right priya .. i had alomst forgotten that.. still i felt it was an insult to movie greats like shammi kapoor and dev anand.. they atleast entertained people rather than minting money and fooling public for their own benfit
No matter what kind of person one is but that doesn't give SRK the right to humiliate anyone, that too when there is close to 25M people watching it. SRK has become more and more arrogant thinking he is god. SRKs behaviour is at times very demeaning during the KBC shows. If some lady refuses to hug him, he tries to take a dig at them. Get a life SRK
I watched the filmfare awards and found nothing offensive in what SRK said. It was a joke and should be taken in that spirit. Mr. Singh you are a politician, surely you must have heard comments a hundred times worse both in public and in private.
Now, what I did find offensive was Jaya Bachchan using that platform to publicly endorse her bahu to be. It was a sickly affair and we don't need to be told about the virtues of Mis Rai. Does she think we care that much about their personal preferences?

I'm neither a fan of Mr. Sharukh nor Mr. Amitabh. Infact, I came to know about this incident after reading this.
If calling someone 'devil', a good sense of humour, Let me call you "devil's advocate". Wow!! my sense of humour is even better.. what do you say??
RE:RE:Amar Singh

Call me a devil's advocate if it pleases you. If I am the DA than you must mean that SRK is the devil. I would much rather be his DA than Amar Singh's. People like you want to cause trouble at the drop of a hat. The context of the remark was humorous. A scantily dressed lady had just been gyrating on the stage when SRK made that remark. It was a joke, a joke, a joke,a joke. For Mr.Singh to be talking about taking revenge shows what a small-minded and petty man he is. I would dread to think how he would take "revenge" on an ordinary person if that person happened to displease him!

i guess SRK,Jaya Bachhan,Amar singh all r very mean minded ppl who use every opportunity they get for their own sake! no need to defend anybody!

We all want the best for ourselves but the true test of a good human being is to try and get those things with grace, humour, honesty and fairmindedness. If truth is on your side than words should not be able to hurt you whether said in jest or not.

SRK has got a funny bone.. but the problem is he doesnt like to be at the receiving end.. has any one noticed the way he behaved in KBC 3 show when a lady contestant blunty denied o hug him?? where was his positive spirit then? its easy to crack jokes on others!
RE:Amar Singh
by sandeep on Feb 27, 2007 09:24 PM
You sound like a typical SRK fan. put yourself in amarsingh's place and instaed of SRK if sombody else would have passed the humour of seeing "darindagiri " in you eyes you would have reacted on the spot. You are talking about taking in positive spirit. did SRK take Vidu Vinod Chopra's comment positively and in right spirit, he immediately replied with anger.
I don't see any reason of him being invited or present in Filmfare awards. As per reports only 700 persons were invited, I am very very sure that lot of genuine film personalities were not invited.
Anyways Once again I am very happy with this humiliation.

Ofcourse humour should be taken as humour..but humourless is the suggestion that president bush is such a icon to follow? ofcourse he gets pissed off..but its democracy you know..what can he do ?? And in Democracy verbal retaliation is not a crime I think..
A "guilty man is conscious"..thats what happened to Amar Singh....He could not understand the joke but became conscious about the picturization of his true character...
But amitabh is lucky to have such a good peopn with him all the time...In my house the servants run away in a year or two...no wonder god has given amitabh lot of luck....
