I found it also denigrating to the Indian army that has shown its mettle in dealing with the terrorist. Aamir kills all the Indian armymen in the gun battle when we all know that it is only possible in a suicidal blast. Bad research, a mediocre film hyped by the media

when sunny deol can single-handedly gun down 50 terrorists can't amir khan do the same to bout 4-5 soldiers???...for god's sake it's a freaking movie man...relax....and for showing the army in a bad light u don't need fanaa....some recent rowdy incidents have been sufficiently covered by the media be it the fake encounters or throwing innocent ppl off trains or the molesting of women while parting out o nthe 31st night by some army jawans in calcutta. BTW Fanaa sucked big time!!!

I think so too, both the directors are over rated. Fanaa was a disaster and most of Sanjay Leela Bansaali's movies are over rated and toooooooooo melodramatic to digest also.

Every movie Maniratnam made so is not original. Nayagan was also inspired from Godfather. Guru is bad rip off of "The Aviator". Maniratnam is not great yet. Rather, he is getting worst with every movie. Grow up people, stop being one sided. I am not supporting Kunal Kohli or SLB but I am against the quote "Great Maniratnam".

I think Karan Johar is the most over-rated director. But he has a good rapport with movie journalists and manages to get good publicity. His movies are all crap.
I personally didnt liked Fanaa at all... i am a big fan of aamir but i was disappointed with Fanaa, i felt the film has nothing to be talked of. According to me Aamir has given the worst performance in Fanaa ... from rangeela onwards he has done a brilliant job in all the movies but fanaa was not upto the mark for me. I sincerely request Aamir not to do movies like Fanaa. I am looking forward to Ghajini remake that would be a sure shot sucess for Aamir.
HUMTUM was straight lift from when Harry met Sally and FANNA is not worth talking over here. And in Mujhse Dosti Karoge he wasted talents like HR and Rani... I am not admiring bhansali but saying that Kohli has absolutely no sense of making films...he can only criticise that too he is bad at it ...

I dont agree with the comment by Mr,Bhansali. As long as ppl like the movei, no director is overrated. how could we come to conclusion that somebody is overrated on the contrary Hum Tum won him a national award. as far as Mr.Bhansali is concerned, his movie 'Black" was also inspired from Old Hollywood movie. I have seen a clip of that old movie and i am sure few scence were lifted from that movie. so if Mr,Bhansali says somebody is overrated then.........
those who throw stones to other may get them reflected. Kunal a film critic earlier insulted all of them and he is getting it back. this is Duniya after all
While Sanjay Leela may be a better Director than Kunal Kohli, he cannot definitely say that Kunal Kohli is the worst Director !! Everyone may be copying or being inspired from Enlgish movies, but the thing is that the inspired version is being liked by the audiences ! Period. We Indian love movies and if they make us feel good and forget our sorrows, than any copy is also good. But yes, our movie makers are good at adopting english movies & bettering the original !!

Bhansali did not say Kunal Kohli is the worst director. He only told: Kunal Kohli is the Most Over-Rated Director. Bhansali has a point there. If Kunal Kohli can make as stupid a movie as 'Fanaah' with two of the best actors of our era, then he deserves the mantle. But even though 'Hum Tum' was a remake, it was a fairly cure adaptation and Kohli deserves credit for that.

kajol nd aamir r more stupid than kunal to hv agreed to do a stupid film like fanaa. nd they r supposed to be these "intelligent & talented" actors who choose the right script. the truth is yashraj banner matters to all and sundry.
