Its like going back to my School days ,when we had one television per 3/4 households . I remember watching Karamchand with almost 0 volume every Monday 10 P.M. with fear in mind that if papa listens any sound there would be a great thrashing . But the serial was great ,waiting eagerly.
It is good have serials like Karamchand, Chunauti,Campus, Byomkesh Bakshi, Hum log etc as they are far far better than stupid saas bahus sagas churned out by channels these days
Karamchand also reminds me of all the other good old serials 'Idhar UDhar','Phir Wahi Talash','Hum Log' and the like .. and now everyday I want to watch the daily soaps but none have the charm that the oldies had.Wish some good short and watchable series also return to the small screen.

does anybody know where i can get the video for phir wahi talash it was my favorite serial. I watched it when there was a repeat telecast sometime during 2001
You know who was the first Consulting Detective in the world? Sherlock Holmes... Welcome Back Karamchand... Those who are less than 28 yrs of age wont even remember him, but we at late twenties remember him as one of the all time heros along with MungeriLal and Wagle (Wagle ki Duniya).

Also Add: Guldasta-(Starring Navin Nischol) Intezar Hum Hindustani-(Late Ashok Kumar) Mirza Ghalib-(Naseeruddin Shah) Hakke Bakke-(Anil Biswani...May be not right actor's name...but serial do exist)...& more..etc
Great were...those days with DD'..Not so many serials but good & today are some good but out of so many serials.....almost some are of same story line of not other than family disputes/jealousies.etc..so, not worth to bare time for same crap....it's good if we have serials for family disputes solutions than showing only family disputes with no solution..as it is seen at home & might benefit for those who are the cause of troubles in domestic violence. But, today's film making technology is no doubt far better than earlier..& it's marvellous.
