In our film industry there are to many super star...like dilip kumar, rajesh khanna, dev anand, etc. But no one can work like big B work in this age...
SRK is nothing when we compare him with dilip kumar, dev anand, raj kumar, etc,etc..so it is worth less to compare him with Big B...
We never compare a Lion (Big B) with a donkey (U all know)
KBC3 continues to perform well below expectations.
1. The TAM TRP is stuck between 8 to 9 during week 2 and 3 as well (aMap TRP equivalent is 3.7 to 4.2, which is published everyday). This is consistently below the 7 year old serials - Kyunki Saas...and Kahaani Ghar.... (each at about TAM TRP 10). So KBC3 which was supposed to start with a bang and recreate the magic is just a whimper. Bollywood's supposed biggest star has not been able to beat old serials even in the first few weeks even with an established popular program! Is this the stuff superstars are made of?
2. KBC's media management company had promised TRPs of 15 to 20 and ad rates were set accordingly (see last Sunday's Economic Times). Since actual performance is half of the projected TRP, ad rates have been cut by 40% to Rs. 3 lacs for a 10 sec spot from Rs.5 lac (KBC1 ran for 3 years with TRPs of 15 to 26 and for many months with TRPs of over 20!!).
3. The only relief to Star is that TRPs have not declined too much in Week 2 and 3 but this is still well below expectation. KBC3 has proved to a storm in a tea cup for Star. Given that KBC anyway is an excellent program format around the world, it could have achieved the current TRPs of 8-9 even with a regular host or any other film star. SRK has failed to make the difference that he was expected to make as the supposed "superstar" and has not justified his price. Even the opening day TRP was only 12! And all this despite the fact that Star brought KBC3 back as a weekdays program from being a weekends program (remember, KBC2 was a weekend program) In general TV viewership is higher on weekedays than on weekends as is an established fact (since people do other things on weekends).
The reason for the below average TRPs is quite simple. There is fundamental difference between Amitabh and Shahrukh, the former is a genuine cult figure relentlessly for over 3 decades with immense talent and presence while the latter is an overhyped paper tiger.
SRK IS PAYING 50% TO REDIFF WHATEVER HE IS MAKING AT KBC -3 SHOW. THAT'S WHY IT HAS BECOME A CHEAP SHOW INSTEAD OF QUIZ GAME SHOW- WATCH SRK COMMERCIAL SRK SRK SRK INSTEAD OF A GAME SHOW.

well ravi shankar there r many... 1-DON(action film) 2-main hoon naa(he was an army officer and it was a different film) 3-bazigar,darr 4-swades which was a hit.. 5-deewana another super hit film thow he was a supporting actor.. 6-yes boss which was hit in a comic role.. 7-josh was a hit film and non romantic i guess.. and there r many but i g2g now..so now u should start calling shahrukh khan..a king khan ok

I m agree with this person.... SRK is a very very poor in acting. He is always overacting in the films that are not romantic.. Because of some people he say himself as King Khan. When u see Big B..he never called himself as Big B..he always trying to tell that he is just an actor of a director...while SRk always trying to expose that he is something... Poor SRK

if don was a hit, thanks to the sheer effort of the multiplexes to double the rates, as it happens to most of sharukh movies. otherwise don'key' would have sank without a trace and most of his other movies would be just averages.
