Amar Singh's income and address
by JM on Feb 09, 2007 01:56 AM  | Hide replies

What is Amar Singh's salary as party secretary of Samajvadi party? What are his other sources of income? How much property does Amar Singh own and what are its sources?
Either way, why did Amar Singh provide Amitabh's address while purchasing the car? (thi sis a criminal offence by itself!)

If Amar Singh is giving the car as a gift to Abhishek (which ofcourse he is denying) shouldnt Abhishek have to pay the gift tax?

IT dept. should investigate prosecute and collect the tax as applicable! I commend the IT dept. for caring less and less for celebrities.

I think you should know the IT code. If he is declaring this car in IT, he has to show the income where he got it. And if it is a gift to Abhishek, certainly it should be part of his tax return and IT Dept. will not let Abhishek go without payment of Gift Tax. Anyway IT dept. love to bother Bachchan family.

This is perfect theory of economics - The Rich gets richer and poor gets children. Nothing to Amitabh he is great. But yes Mr. Amar Singh which scandal gave you this much money to but costliest car for your friend.

What Amitabh has given to Society is none of anyone's business. Because that is his wealth and he can use it the way he wants. Society is giving him love because they like his talent and not expacting in return anything. I think you should be reminded that love should be unconditional. And society is giving him unconditional love. And how for the fact you know that he is not giving back anything to society? Are you his accountant?

That is what we all want to know...amar singh has indeed bought the car,but what is his source of income. Is it his own money,or that of the povertystricken people of INDIA..who continue to get poorer by the day.Amar Singh is holding such a office which brings on to him immense responsibility and also ACCOUNTABILITY.So he should be forced to disclose to the public the source of this magnanimous amount whith wchich he bought the bentley.

Second open letter to Rajneesh Mehta
by Amjed Sheikh on Feb 09, 2007 01:11 AM  | Hide replies

I am not in Army (I am not even in India now but I was when KARGIL happened) and neither is any of my relatives but that does not mean that I have no right to speak for what is right.
Here are your questions:
1. Are u really sure that whatever u contemplate is not happening?
Answer: we would have seen parliament demolished and more than 100,000 people killed in Delhi only.

2. Are u sure that Payscales are less?
Answer: After a simple MCA I am getting more than Rs.200K pm and my schoolmate (who was topper and joined NDA) is getting 18000 as Major. A Jawan gets around 8000 (including DA).

3. When u join teh Army, u join it for Pay or love for ur country?
Answer: Yes these people join for country but we countrymen are such b******s that we not only pay them extremely low but also call them corrupt when we routinely ignore NETA, IAS, IPS etc.

4.Should Pay really bother a Army man?
Answer: Have we fallen to such low level that we want those who sacrifice their entire lives not only to go hungry but also see thier families trying to maintain dignity on emty stomach.

5. Have u intelligently compared the pay of an Army Personnel with a civilian?
Answer: A call centre employee gets more than a Jawan.

6. What do u include the Army guys in - Upper class, Upper middle class or lower middle class?
Answer: Officer-Lower-lower middle class: and Jawan- Poor: Reason- can any Jawan live as proper middle class on a salary of 8000 pm in Delhi when he has a wife, a kid and may be a old and sick mother and father. A blue line bus driver gets more than 12000 pm. They appear in middle class because of their education and not because of their money.

Now you answer me:
1. Can you sacrifice your life for a pension of 4000 (that a jawan gets) to your family?

2. Has any army jawan has swiss accounts, palatial houses, mercedes and how many NETA , IAS, IPS have the above said luxuries.

3. In this topic Amarsingh has gifted 2.5 crore Bentley to Abhishek. DO YOU REALISE THAT IS EQUAL TO MONTHLY SALARY OF 3125 army jawans?

4. Have you or any one of us ever expressed a word of thanks to any one of forces.
It is easy to write on forums like here but have you realised how do we (so called civilians) deal with Army men.

I will give you an example:
I was in Delhi last december in ICICI branch sitting with manager. There was a small acount problem a Jawan was facing . He came to manager and very politely asked for help but Manager behaved as if the jawan was suffering from some disease. You should have seen the expressions and utter humiliation on his face. He went away. When I confronted manager he said "Arre saab in faujion ka dimag nahi hota".

5: Whom do we respect more: Reel heros or real heros??

I shall wait for your reply to see if you have guts to answer.

Thanks Amjed Sheikh,
your message is really good in figures,
We all should realize that how much our soldiers are sacrificing for us, and those in Siachen glacier are worse, think about soldiers wandering in Rajasthan deserts in mid day "LOO" and we are sitting in offices or hiding in homes, what about them
no doubt, few corrupt people can be everywhere,
but that does not make our whole army on blame

WE LOVE INDIA
and WE SALUTE our ARMY,
without them india would have fallen to the evil neighbours

Hey, Ans 2 is completly weird and misleading, no MCA in this country getting this much salary in India.Even if you convert dollars salary also.
Most of the company start for MCA freashers with 2.5 - 3.0 lakh per annum not months which includes many performance and other deductions.

what an eye opener it is for every indian!! well its just the way things are in our country...many of us do really want to change the way things work in our country but ultimately we all jus talk, talk and talk and end up expressing our views in all the possible forums, but thats all a normal countrymen can do. Making India a courruption free country can only be a dream, i am not losing hopes but this is wat the reality is. Someone has rightly said that rich is getting richer and poor is getting childrens...there are many things to be blamed for this which i guess everyone is aware. To cut the long story short bottom line is there are many amar singhs in our country who will gift more bentleys and lamborghinis to ppl and a normal civilian like us can just discuss it over the forums. Its only reel heroes that matters to people and not real heroes. I hope a day comes when people in our country realises the difference between right and wrong.

well said my friend. but all this information is just here for people like us to read. no one does anything with it. I can comment if Amar Sing really presented Bentley to Abhi if incase Amar Singh proves that media is wrong then dont think it dint happen. there are a lot of Amar sings in our parliament who can do similar things. One classic example Bangalore CM MR. Kumaraswamy Gowwda.
Coming to ur concern for Army men I appreciate it. I agree they and their families should be given more respect and privileges than normal official. Becoz they r serving contry where as we all serve just ourselves and our family. And even after knowing all this they still go to join army YES THEY R THE MEN OF HONOR. they should be given all respect.
Coming to respecting a Jawan or a normal citizen I have experienced my self that our Managers and people working in all places for that matter are terrible. Here is an incident in Tea House, Bangalore, Nov%u201906 "Well dressed husband Wife and 4year old kid comes to Tea House orders two teas worth Rs.80 each
Wife askes waiter can we please get another extra cut for my child
Waiter says no, husband asked waiter why
Waiter calls manager, husband explains the situation
Manager says that is our company policy u get two cups for two teas only, husband says it is a request
Argument continues, Manager shouts at the customer and takes away the served teas demands money
Customer pays, embarrassed they walk away%u201D
I asked Manager why hasn%u2019t he sent me and my two friends out inspite of we asking for so many extras, tv channels. Manager replies %u201CSir u spend Rs. 1000 on ur visit that%u2019s why%u201D
And that%u2019s our attitude towards our fellow people. I am sad to say this but it happened in front of my eyes felt very bad for the couple.

Thanks for the eye opener. However, I would like to add that it is not only the army , we tend to have a general lack of respect for anyone who lacks power and money. There is some problem with our attitude. I am currently living in the UK and it is amazing to see the amount of respect a car driver gives to a pedestrian or a cyclist as they are the most vulnerable on the road.Whereares back home roads ,law, police , goverment ..everything seems to be tailored for people who have money, power or contacts.A clerk in a goverment office where public dealings are done commands more respect than than teachers, doctors working in rural areas and other people doing good service.I know it would be false to say that this universal .But there is definitely a problem with our attitude .The big question is how do we change it????

Everybody,

Please excuse my ignorance, as I do not know the history behind Amar Singh's wealth or his relationship with the Bachan family. Although I agree with most of the comments on the fact that it is none of our business on who buys what and gifts it to whom, my question is how can a government minster in a third world country afford such expensive items?

There are children dying everyday in UP out of poverty and I am astonished to discover that a minster from that part of the country is able to shower such luxuries on already wealthy people. How does he sleep at night?

If children dying in UP out of poverty then you go and form a NGO for those children and do something other then just talking. People like you are the one who are jealous of other's success/wealth. Hope you don't mind. And believe me you will be the first one who will siphon off funds from NGO for your own.

I see no reason why you are supporting Mr. Amar Singh? Had he donated the aforementioned amount to the poors or worked for the upliftment for the people staying in UP, he would not have lost his "Fame". Sorry to see people like you.

Please i think this whole issue definetly is news of interest to some people if not all. What seems to be problem for all you guys here. It's a free country. People have right to question. I like amitabh.. have grown up watching his films. I respect him almost as much as any other icon worth the salt. Lately though I feel , he seems to be going overboard with anything and everything that he does or says. As such I also question his right to keep buying luxury cars left right and centre..( that issue will keep for some other time) suffice to say , if there is no transperancy in an transaction worht crores. .as to who bought the damn car ( woth 2 crores.. i might add) under whose name and what address under which it has been registered? all these are extremely pertinent and legal question to raise. Now it might or might not be happening as part of political vendetta.. but then that's what Bachhans asked for themselves( by colluding with dalal like Amar Singh..)So it's but natural that Congress would target any slip by them. Onus lies on Amitabh to clear the air on this issue. Lets not look at it superficially and be dismissive about something of more concern than just a harmless gift from and uncle amar singh to beta abhishek & bahu aish...

Rediff, please check your own story before putting on the net. Tow days ago, it was 1.3 or 1.5 crore and within 2 nights it becomes 2.5 crore. Also, Ideots follows ideots. They got money, they can do it. There is certainly two India, and, bacchans belongs to other side of the India. True and wise never ride on cores cars, they give and build the nation, Amit premjee, tata, Narayan, Abdul kalam etc. Stars are being worshiped by idots (through out the civilizations) so ideots follows idots.
