I think Krish should be the one to go for Oscar. This is a unique movie in terms of Bollywood context ... Krish himself is Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X-Man, ... in one. I can't wait till the third part comes out. I think the world should see what Bollywood makes these days. Good luck to Krish.
I am glad to see that RDB is being suggested as an Oscar entry by a large majority in this forum and is winning this round by a margin of two to one to it's nearest contenders (LRMB, OMKARA etc.) By the time I'm writing this message, RDB has already been selected as the official entry of India for the Oscars. Biases aside (I've been admittedly a hardcore fan of Aamir Khan movies and would only watch one of his at a theater in U.S. or Canada), I think RDB has a better chance of receiving a final nomination this year than any others suggested. Hope this being the breakthrough movie that brings India (and the entire subcontinent) the pride and recognition that it so deserves for a long time.

Lage Raho Muna bhai is the best choice for oscar. let the world understand the streanth of peace & great idea of our great national leader. We had seen many hollywood or bollywood films which always repeat the same & worst message to fight with violence for our rights which we normally follows in our day to day life without thinking any other alternative but his thinking & vision is above the all this level.
So i think this is only the film which we must send for oscar nomination with the message " now use gandhigiri for every action in your life & then see it's not only works but it will change our lives "
A film with wit and humour, fun and frolic, conveying Gandhian philosophy in a very light way (not as Gandhiji's autobiography - My Experiments with Truth) People may argue that this film does not have international appeal. BUT can that be the reason for not considering it? (Have a relook at old Munnabhai - Dr.Suman says, are you rusticating Munna only because his language is not sophisticated?) An Indian movie is to be viewed with Indian societal values in the background, then only it will appeal. Lage Raho Munnabhai has done its best towards this. It has got crowd pulling ability, full length Entertainment (which is the main purpose of movies) and a strong philosophy to convey in small doses. It deserves an entry in Oscars. It is Sanjay's greatness, a couple of days back, he said in an interview, he will not lobby for its nomination.
It is only fair for Rang De Basanti to go to the Oscars since it has an Original Script unlike Omkara which is an adaptation. No doubt the Bharadwaj film was at its best. On the other hand Lage Raho Munna Bhai was the best comedy one can come across in bollywood but I have my own doubts.
