I'm really surprised why some of you are so obsessed with hating SRK. I watched the new DON and enjoyed it thorougly. To understand why some folks were comparing it with the original DON, I watched the original one. Well, here is my opinion. The new DON is more apt for the current generation. I tried to analyse the acting alone and SRK is much better than AB in DON. Maybe AB has acted better in some other movies. But if you just take the old and the new DON, SRK's performance is just amazing. Certainly he fits the DON and Vijay role much better than AB. I guess some people are obsessed with hating SRK just because they grew up watching AB and hence its difficult to accept that some other actor can do a better job.
I normally don't write such stuff, but I feel forced to because some really good work done by Farhan, SRK and the DON team is being unfairly pulled apart by a bunch of ill-informed, jaded and/or biased critics. The new DON has a smarter plot, 100x better production quality and effects and contemporary music. The lines are smarter, the pace is faster - the whole film is more intelligent than the 1978 version, which is almost embarrassing to watch in today's age. Great work by the team - Priyanka looks absolutely gorgeous and SRK does a good job. The only thing that can be held against it is that SRK tries but does not succeed in looking as menacing as the "angry young man" did in his prime; he comes across as smart, but not really deadly.
hey all sillly people out there who r criticising this reveiw shud watch Panbanaras wala song of new don and u ll realise the chear energy of SRK and as far film is concerned the film is entertaining and fast and i just loved the film, especially SRKs performance.
SRK does an amazing job. Those who think otherwise are simply Shah Rukh haters. Its not making tons of money worldwide for nothing. Its SRK's movie, he does it all himself and does not disappoint...
Only he could have the confidence and talent 2 take on AB's immortal role. And his dances were fabulous, especially Khaike paan... he had more energy in his songs than AB did in his movie.
SRK rocks. Haters can sit there & talk all they want and watch the $ its making.
I cant understand why everybody is suggesting this 19 year old to watch old don. AB's don was great but I dont think this new generation will be able to tolerate those kind of funny stunts which is don all about.
Your major being religious study- is it on god shahrukh?????? His haming cannot ever be compared to Amitabh's acting...if not for yash chopra and gang shahrukh is nothing.....
agreed.you have rightly reviewed the film.in don a new shahrukh devoid of his mannerism acting could be seen. here he has played the character in such a way that it matches with bachans.there are no actor that can do justice to the role than shahrukh. besides hats off to farhan akhtar for coming out with a sleeker and apt remake.this don belongs to shahrukh and farhan akhtar.
guys just wana say tht, v shud appreciate farhan and SRK, for taking up such a challenge. itss always hard to compete with orginal, so come on guys appreciate somethng insted of just picking up the negative aspects abt the movie. hope u understand, grow up guys. v belong to the Y zeneration. shish auckland newzealand
PLZ Stop[ praising a n actor like SRK. Ok. he is a good actor, but only when he is acting in a romantic role , no novelty in his acting, he just spoied the charisma of the charecter.
