Mat maaro meri jaan!!! Umm hhh I mean to say that Mr Dutta should revert to making war movies and leave the delicate romance for those whose forte it is!!! The fans get diappointed...
get real ms/mrs sukanya... u gave umrao jaan a 2.5(it's pathetic).. and don a 1.5.. i do agree that the new don isn't as good as the old one but is a very slickly made film thats worth a watch... just dont think its ur reviews tat are worth a read
i haven't seen movie but fm the day the trailors i saw didn't make me feel to watch umrao jaan. We can't compare the movies but as it has been already said Old is Gold. Abhi is wasted for that character & fm ash u can't expect acting other than only showing off her beauty. the way it has been played by rekhaji.So gracefully she had played that character.Songs were amazing in old one. mind blowing. I think JP dutta should make only movies realated to wars. other thing ash & abhi Pair is worst pair onscreen as well as off screen. she looks aunty in front of him.they shouldn't do any movie together.
Everybody is compairing old umraojaan to new but Why not this people Appreciates this as a new film , is there any leack in the film ok..but can this people suggest what has to be there in place of that....very easy to say but hard to impliment
It's a good film. Go see it. Unless you have some past life memory of 1850 Lucknow and its tawaifs, yeh discussion fizool hai. Considering Aishwarya's repertoire (all her films so far) MANY may say that this is her best performance of all. It ought to be. It's called Umrao Jaan. Abhishek has done the best he can possibly do but Hrithik in the same role would have earned a lot more oohhs and aahhs from the girls.
There is no hero and there is no role model in this film. Well, we don't expect that in nawabi, kebabi, shababi Lucknow during British Raj. Actually we don't expect much of Uttar Pradesh now either, do we? Ha ha. This film does nothing to make me proud of the culture that existed - from child marriages to dancing girls to wasteful rich men.
Aishwarya shines and the rest of them (AB, Sunil, Puru, Shabana) shine in her light. See it with or without family and be happy! Paisa vasool. 7.5 out of 10.
New Umrao is no way better than the old one . Once again it is proved "Old is Gold" Be it a movie or songs. The film makers should give away the ideas of remake of legendary movies.
