I think the writer is totally biased.Didnt he realise that as he is trying to ridicule the show, he is making it obvious that he's like all the rest of the show-watchers(like me) who watch the show but do not vote for the contestants(which I feel is fine)but trying to ridicule the show that you so passionately see is pretentious.About Debojit & Vinit, I do feel that it was not a good step, for the contestants to walk out considering breaking of commitment to participate and entertain. But I dont disagree with the point that Debojit is actually on the winning side because of the mass voting by people in the North East. I was taken aback by the fact that he is winning over Vinit who I think is much more talented than Debo. In fact, I think even some other contestants were better than him.And this is another reason why the contestants's decision to walk out got back at them, as now people have started favouring Debojit even more out of sympathy,probably like our dear writer,who I feel has some other emotional reason to favor Debojit other than lack of music-sense.I also feel it's wrong to mention the regional voting esp when it brings out a sad situation that they cant amend.Loophole!
debojit is the best...undoubtedly...!! besides, its not his fault if the other states are not more enthusiastic!! they should have realised the limitations on voting when they set up the system. Also, vinit sings real well but his voice is not mature enough yet! he will be awesome but in a couple of years...!!

Mr. Peri, I was truly shocked reading your article favouring Debojit...these kind of comments really spark off issues that donot exist in reality..We as citizens would expect much more maturity and professionalism from people like you...Its high time we Indians took journalism more seriously and addressed more important issues relating to the nation...If educated people like you would pass such comments, what about the remaining population..??? As far as music and sa re ga ma pa goes, i sincierely wished that we could have a musically trained panel of judges, than just leaving the decisions to the public...anyways I wish 'Best Of Luck' to both the contestants..may the best man win..!!!
Some times back when supreme court give verdic against bihar assembly dissole as illegal then some pepole say that only three judge give this verdict among five.
Just like this pepole who not dare to face truth only this type of pepole deliver such comment. .
Its a big blow to the pride I carried as an Indian. I am an assamese and study abroad. I always communicate with my fellow Indians in Hindi though they make of fun of my funny pronounciations. That does not stop me from speaking Hindi. I am always the first one to confront any kind of insult against India from the Europeans. I am always very proudly propagating the greatness of Indian culture and tradition. The way people has treated Debojit is very hurting and has made me feel vey isolated.
I don't think all of india's heart goes with Debojit.I am a keen watcher of this programme from its inception. First of all debojit should not have been there in the last 6. Vinit, Himani, Hemachandra & Nihira are all 100% better than him . ( in singing). He is able to continue in the programme just because he is getting bucket full of votes from North-east. If I am given a chance I would have stopped this voting system and would have asked good judges to judge them. In that scenario I don't think Debojit will stand anywhere. I am not writing this just because he is from north-east, But because of biased voting Vinit/Hemchandra/Himani is losing. In the last episode before finals where music composers & singers were the judges, it was clear like water who is better.
Himesh Reshamya & Vinit and most of viewers are already reconciled that debojit will only win. If of the votes polled 80% and above votes you are securing from a particular region then what you should be called? "India's voice " or " Noth-east voice"
hello mr.mahesh, your views are understandable but it seems that you have only seen the episode where the three contestants walked out. Also, i would just like to say that it isnt wise to make such crude remarks as (vinits voice croaks) in public. All three singers are very good. If zee tv want to suffer with this voting system then let them. why get involved?..they chose it now they have to live with it unless they learn. Also, the mentors here are much more passionate than in uk or usa ( i am a child from uk). they obviously want their students to do well. i agree that debojit is a good singer and to accuse him of ulfa connections was horrid. however, chandu and vinit are both superb. they deserve more votes than debojit but that is not happening. debojit probably will win too! The point is please dont judge the country by watching one episode of one programme. the same happens in pop idol uk so it is nothing to fuss about.
