This is ridiculous... I guess people dont have any better work in life....if u dont like a movie for a scene apply self censorship and dont watch the movie... If at all this person wants to get noticed apply petitions against the corrupt ministers and Government officials... guess this chap needs to take a walk...

Obscenity case against Ash...
by Ansuman Mohanty on Dec 03, 2006 10:17 PM

Now a days it is quite common that some people file obscenity cases against actors/actresses. I find it really funny and stupid. I want to make some points to those people who file such cases.
a) While seeing the movie, if you found some scene obscene, you should have closed your eyes.I mean no one on this planet can force you to watch the scene.
b) No one gave you an invitation to watch that movie, you bought the tickets and and went to watch it. So, if that movie did not suit your taste, it is your luck. If someone invited you to see the movie, then file a case against him/her, not the movie.
c) Producers of the movie cannot take the opinion of 1 billion people of India before making a scene. If the censor board passes the scene then the scene is appropriate for the Indian public. If you find some scene obscene then sue the censor board, not the actor/actress.
d) There are more severe plights affecting the country than an actor exposing on the screen. If you have to file a case, file a case against
a) Politicians not fulfilling their promises.
b) Politicians not doing their duty, wasting public money after collecting huge tax (income tax, service tax, enetrtainment tax..)

What a big nonsense. we are having more obsene scenes than this and you don't have any problem? what about in murder or zeher or aksar and all. this is just to defame the two actors only. look at the music videos that are been made, what about kya kool hai hum?

Obscenity in movie Dhoom 2
by mskamboj on Dec 03, 2006 08:37 PM

Although I have not seen the movie, neither I intend to see it, but still I can make out the scene, which is vulgar in the real sense. A kiss scene, reportedly the best scene given by any couple in any movie so for, as discussed in the newspapers yesterday helped me to make out what it is the fuss all about. It is really a shame for the people of India who have deep faith in the Indian Culture, where the society's interests are supreme than those of the human rights to show vulgarity, that such movies are being taken as a success movies. The advocate friend has done a right thing by calling such people, who cross the limits of a sensible society's values, to the court of law to explain their conduct and punish them. In fact the kissing by lovers is a matter of strict privacy, but showing such scenes to masses particularly to tender aged young people, to mint money is nothing but vulgarity in the society, which demands condemnation by all those, who know the tradition and values upon which the edifice of our Indian culture is based.
