ya,i agreee with you.first time after he has evolved as a director,kj shows up the courage to show the reality and human relationship from right angle.with his earlier films like kkhh,k3g,he seemed to be yet another addition to the imaginary,damp,squib world of yash chopra where everything is just fine except the love lorn couples.everything used to be fake as they were just like"parallel universe" characters.at the end of the movie one used to feel like oh i wasted my money,why? i was skeptical regarding this movie as from promos i looked like to be the same old repetitive futile exercise.but when i saw it last night i was highly impressed with the movie.the characters were selfish,jealous,scandulous,beyond morals and values;be it AB,preity,rani or srk.all they wanted was their inner contentment no matter how it comes.this film clearly exhibits the present transition phase in our society which post liberalisation has been trained to live up to the lust for fame,money,sex etc. but i think the biggest letdown of the movie is kj's best pals be it srk,farah,javed akhtar or music trio of S-E-L.these guys make the movies as it is copied from previous one.so kj leave thm.

I did know that a FAshion Editor in the US needed to work extra hours to buy a Playstation for her kid - tell her to take a job in a Call Centre in India, she will achieve that ambition in double-quick time!
And Shankar-whatever-whatever's music can easily have been from any of the other movies they have "created" music for - best classified as "Wallpaper" music or in short highly forgettable.
And what is so bold about this theme - its been played out a million times before.
I agree with this analysis of the movie. Abhishek bachchan was the best thing in the movie. Bachchan Sr Rocks as always. However SRK hams big time. And Rani, althouhg she acted well, her character was a little confusing. Zinta was cool. Its anytime better than those candyfloss romance movies
I think it is a very boring film and three and half hour of life goes absolutely waste.Money we all can earn back but I suggest do not waste time on this.
