Raja sen has missed out on the music score of this movie. It is a shame we have another copycat in the making, Pritam, the music director of this movie. He blatantly copied the music of 'Ya Ghali' (2003) by Guitara - an Arabic artist for the song 'Ya Ali'. How long Pritam can fool the hindi film world is yet to be seen!!!!
The movie is very sleek. Anurag basu has delivered a worthy film. After murder he is back with a bang.His direction rocks towards the climax. Great cenimaphotography with some great performances by all the leads. Shinny ahuja is awaesome and delivers power packed performance. He is the lambi race ka ghoda with a blend of both art and commercial charisma in him. He rocks in the movie. Kangna the female lead was sincere in her performance. Outstanding performance from a debutant. Not to forget bhat camps favorite imran hasmi also lives up to the expectations. Seems to have improved on his expressions atleast in this movie.
Above all the music rocks. Hats of to the music director Pritam. Specifically the songs compositions of tu hi meri saab,bhegi bheegi and ya ali are outstandingly genuine and original.
Hi Yaar Please give this Reviever a Break. There was a time when I had a lot of respect of Rediff reviews and i used decide on going to a movie based on the review of Rediff. But this movie a worst of its kind with Worst performances Does not deserve any good words for other than one good song. Completely boring and meaning less movie. I dont understand how people watch that chap Imran Hashmi the worst hero at present in Bollywood.
Please stop gving this type of False reviews and Cheating Public.

mr rajneekanth..u shud beter watch movies made by mr karan johar n shahrukh khan..d ones where rich NRI families living in big spectacular hawelis shake a leg n celebrate karva chauth etc. n where heroines r required 2 dance around trees in chiffon sarees..and d heroes r suposed 2 do dhishum dhishum..ven a really comin of age movie releases wid a good story n power packed performances u ll criticise n d reviewer..bt u r nt 2 b blamed..u r actually used 2 seeing d stupid david dhawan movies so how wud u understand a movie like dis..pity on u..
GANGSTER IS A WONDERFUL MOVIE..A MUST WATCH..BT ONLY 4 PEOPLE WHO HAVE A CLASSY TASTE..
A unique story. A crisp screenplay. Great music. The performances of the actors were amazing. Hashmi did a decent job of a subdued character. Kangna was pretty expressive & did a good job. But I think Shiny Ahuja's portrayal of the gangster was the stand-out performance. He was simply brilliant. With just his eyes & body language, he did an excellent job. Hope to see more of him.
