Though I agree that Mr Raja Sen has gone a little overboard in his praise for gangster, I loved the film. The music, the performances, save a couple of flaws and melodrama, and the gripping narrative hook you from the beginning. The interesting twists and unexpected happenings make a seemingly ordinary story stand apart. The film is a tribute to human emotions and all that is part of it - indecisiveness, unpredictability, passion, angst, the dark-end of the human mind, and more. The characters of Simran and Daya are very firmly etched and the movie remains in your mind for long. The music by Pritam is contemporary and sensitive and captures the mood of the film. A congtas and thanks to Anurag Basu for a wonderful movie experience!
A pathetic film getting 3and a half star rating! Only Raja Sen could have done that and he has not disappointed. I mean there is something wrong with this man, he criticised SARKAR and it was a movie worth watching. Now he comes and tells us that Kangana is a find..what a joke! This girl has a slurred acccent, makes you think that here is another UK or CANADA born. She keeps refering to Shiney as Gangster when he has a name, and he is only a gunman. No gangster! I cannot undersatnd how killing DAYA destroyes the international crime network. I do not understand why the girl is not arrested for helping the \"GANGSTER\" abscond. This movie defies logic and except the music and Shiney in a couple of scenes, there is nothing to write home about. Please try to avoid this excuse for a movie. And never read Raja Sen\'s reviews before deciding which movie to watch. A waste of time.
It is just a ok movie, like any other kissing hashmi movies. The only thing is that the kissing lord (Title given by his fans), does little less compared to his other movies. The only two things i liked is, new-comer kangana and music. As for as movies is concerned, it will stay for another 2 weeks only. Soon movies like posiedon, da vinci code and fanaa will make people forget this one.
apart from Shiney's acting this film is not worth watching. I suggest you to appoint some worthy critic to review the movies. Raja sen giving 31/2 stars is a big joke. I suggest all to avoid this movie.
