This is too much!!!
This is one the best movie ( Horror ) in Hindi cinema.
I think the writer needs some kinda treatment for writting something ,which doesnt make sense.
Guys ,frank advise, just go and enjoy this movie. Its awesome and superb.
Urmila , the great, deserves award for this.

movie reviews+naina
by yash on May 21, 2005 02:55 PM

Dear Sir,
though i have not seen the movie, but i dont agree wid ur points.i think every movie should be produced,so as not to puzzle the viewers, but it should have a right plot and an ending, which clarifies the mystery.
I was very disappointed with the way 'KAAL' & 'VASTU-SHASTRA' were made.movies take u to a different world and u start relating the events with ur day-to-day activities(at least till the time u r in the theatre). In both the movies mentioned above, the ending was not appropriate.whereas in KAAL,the 'maneater tigers' continue to go on rampage even till date, in Vastu shastra, the child turns into ghost & we conclude that he kills his mother(sushmita sen)& many other people.whosoevr has written this article seems to be very much influenced by the weird ways in which the "ghosty movies" are produced in hollywood or "southeast".
Pls try to come out of that & stop writing these articles.
if 'naina' clarifies the mystery at the end, it means that the movie is ok & the person writing this column has not been paid enough by the producers of the movie to write an article.
i know u guys take a lot of money for wrtng coments bout movz.
thank u
yash

Naina Review
by Common Man on May 21, 2005 10:11 AM

Hi Sukanya Verma,
Watch a movie from a common man's angle and you'll understand movies better.Your review sucks everytime and you write of most of the movies by just comparing it with the originals. The oppurtunity given to you is just to review the indian movie and not to show ur intellectual analysis of foreign movies.Instead of comparing it with a movie which none of the audience would've heard of u pls review u the given movie and the impact it'll create on the indian viewer.
You so called crack critics can never write a proper review.

must watch!!!!!!!!!!
by ap verma on May 21, 2005 12:20 AM

It seems that the writer is so much bound with the Hollywood movies that it can overlook all the good efforts by a Bollywood film maker.

It would be good to advise HIM to give review only for Foriegn movies rather an Indian one.

Naina & the Eye...silly movies!!
by Prashant on May 20, 2005 11:19 PM

the reviewer seems to be in awe of Chinese horror flicks and very impressed with The Eye. I must say I happened to watch the movie & after sitting thorugh the whole movie i couldn't recall a single scary moment b'cos there weren't any. Haven't seen Naina as yet, but by the look of it, it may not be as different if it's a scene by scene copy. I wonder how come the reviewer got scared of The Eye, time to see The Ring & the sequel.

Feedback

I read an article in timesofindia talking about the eye surgeons in India taking an offense to this movie because the horror that it depicts will have an effect on the already dwindling cornea transplant in India. As opposed to other people who think that they are a bunch of idiots, I think that they are quite right. All of us who know little about life know that we don't lose our eyes in the next birth if we donate them. This movie does not account for the majority of the people in India who are aware of this phenomenon and not aware of anything else.

Why only foreign films are good????
by Hemant on May 20, 2005 09:00 PM

Why is this hell bent inclination to anything foreign is good? Like movies made there are spooky more than here.

I believe we cant appreciate anything over here. We can only find faults, most importantly. When is the last time i read good reviews about any bollywood production(unless its SRK movie(i hope he pays you money to write good reviews for his movies)). God even bad reviews were written about 'Yuva', which to me is a very nice cinematic experience.

Judge movie by its merit. Its not good to draw parallels, i saw the movie, and it looked pretty good, infact one of the most scary movies i have ever seen.

Of course, its not bad to borrow ideas from other good stuff around you.
