Rediff has proved again that they are bunch or SRK fans. This movie will quietly flop like Swades. Taran Adarsh in IndiaFM has blindly put 4 stars. For B&B he put 1 star. The movie is still running with huge success and has done 26crore of business (10 crore more than Swades already). Paheli is just an OK movie. Nothing great. Go see Bunty aur Bably instead. SRK himself is a paheli. With his kind of acting how does he manage to get these reviews?
if it is the combination of amol palekar and shahrokh khaan, i m sure.. this must be a romantic drama movie.. as like combination of chocolate and vanilla...
when i heard about amol paleker is director, i was sure.. this is going to be great romantic, comedy, and humouros film.. and ofcourse the touch or amitabh bachchan will be great....
no matter film will hit the records or not... but in the race of nonsense , sexy, wolger movies, this paheli will grab the indian ladies crowd.. and wherever there are ladies..gents will be there... and over all film will hit.

i had watched paheli, it was fantastic experience.The film is like a grandma's story.But Sharukh acting was excellent.No one can beat him.He is so much professional that he is having that talent to do any kind of role. I had seen sharukh in Darr,in villions role first i thought he is best for that role, when i watched DDLJ, i thought he can be loverboy, when i watched Kuch Kuch Hotha hai i thought he is real star, but when i had seen Kal ho na ho, i thought he is professional, but when i saw last Swades i thought he is Perfect Hero who can do any kind of role But after watching Paheli I decided that Sharukh is Sharukh.
This is not how to write a review, Raja. 'Oh my god' and all that should work for a college canteen review but on a popular website like rediff, it looks pathetically amateurish.
Look at a film technically first; to understand how technique works read up on film techniques. Anyone in this country regards himself as a film critic, and you are just one of them.
Florid prose has nothing to do with film criticism; a greater technical understanding will help you learn and make greater sense of what you are saying.
my goodness ur reviewer certainly knows how to write in flowery language. but thats ok, if the film is half as good as this review then i think that mr amol palekar has a sure winner in his hands and we might just get to see an off beat rahul...ooops shahrukh after quite some time. hoping to watch the movie later in the week.
Phew !! Atlast I finished reading the review.. Is this review or promotion of movie? I have observed from past 6 months that, rediff reviews are partial. In other words.. rediff reviews are promoting movies of particular group of film-makers. please stop this and keep reviews short n sweet....
It is a great review. I am away from India, and it needs a special feeling to realise what goes in the lives of such. I have not seen the film yet, but still I feel nostalgic and kindled of home country feeling.
