A sensible person in INDIA who watched films across all the states would say the two outstanding and the best actors in India are Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal. You should watch thier films and include them.
All the films are there because Mr. Ghai wanted to include his own film. Other films might be different like it may include any Mithun da's film doesn't make any difference to Mr. Ghai.
oye ghai... bollywood does not mean India..tujhe pata nahi tha kya? and even if we consider bollywood's top ten movies..."Taal", "HAHK", "KKHH"...are u nuts? have u seen movies like sahib, bibi aur gulaam...lagaan...masoom....dch...chupke chupke...jane bhi do yaron...agnipath...and many more...why taal is not even ur own best movie...
hasn't Mr.Ghai ever seen Tamil or Malayalam films? Movies of Mani Ratnam,Adoor Gopalakrishnan & Kamalhaasan deserve a place in the Top 10 Indian films.
OK! I admit Subhash Ghai is a good director. He has given memorable films. But to include Taal in the top ten best Indian Films is a bit tooooooooooo much!!! In fact taal is one of his worst films. He has given far better films than Taal himself, like KARZ, KARMA, SAUDAGAR, HERO etc. Even PARDES(though i didnt like it much)was better than TAAL. If TAAL can be called a success story it is only because of The Maestro A.R. Rahman's music. Nothing Else.
And what is KKHH doing in best Indian Films list. Agreed it was a very film, but it does not fall in any league of the films mentioned earlier in his list.
In fact better films are there in Malayalam, Tamil and Bengali.
Manichithrathazhu the original of the recent Rajni starrer Chandramukhi is one of the best and intelligent films released in India. Mani Ratnam's Roja, Kannathil Muthamittal, Bombay, Roja, Mouna Ragam etc. etc.
So it is better language films and not only Hindi Films to see really good movies.
