LAKSHYA ,another feather in HR's cap.
by R.K.Gupta on Jun 29, 2004 07:39 AM

Lakshya is another feather in Hrithik's cap after Kaho Naa.. , Koi Mil Gaya and K3G. There is no
doubt that Hrithik is an immensely talented actor and the highlight of Lakshya is the power packed performance by Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik performance in Lakshya is better than his performance in Koi Mil Gaya. Priety Zinta moulds with him just perfectly. Farhan Akhtar has taken a Hollywood cinematographer Christopher Popp to handle the cinematography for the film. The outcome is that the scenes of Ladakh and Leh are really treat to the eyes. I wonder why the producers shoot in Switzerland or New Zealand by ignoring Ladakh and Leh. Farhan Akhtar has proved his virtuosity as a director in Lakshya. It is the best films of 2004 so far. Lakshya will surely prove to be another feather in Hrithik's cap.

Hrithik and others...............

When Amir Khan gives Lagaan, the SRK fans are not jeleaous. When Salman Khan gives Tere Naam, the
SRK fans are not jeleaous. When Sunny Deol gives Gadar, the SRK fans are not jeleaous. When Ajay
Devgan gives Gangajaal, the SRK fans are not jeleaous. When Vivek Oberoi gives Company, the SRK
fans are not jeleaous. But why are SRK fans jeleaous when Hrithik gives Kaho Naa, Koi Mil Gaya and Lakshya? Thats because 'HRITHIK NE SHAHRUKH KO HILA KE RAKH DIYA !'

Shah Rukh is a dumb headed lover boy who knows only crying and overacting. He is too much to tollerate. Sachme HRITHIK NE SHAHRUKH KO HILA KE RAKH DIYA, aur agey jaake aur hila dega!

hey saira,
i m a very big fan of d king of bollywood ie srk.now comin 2 ur point sweety no 1 is jealous of hrithik.it only is tat he is still a newcomr in d bollywood and he should never be compared 2 d best of d best ie srk, aamir, salman or sanjay dutt.he only acts well in his dads movies.by all means kaho na pyaar hai was an ordinary movie there was absolutely no reason for it to be declared a superhit.coming 2 kmg it was a childish movie but i do agree he acted well in d movie.but do u think hrithik can ever act as srk did in kal ho na ho.so remember no 1 is jealous of hrithik.he is still a kid.1 more thing " LAKSHYA IS DECLARED AS AN AVERAGE MOVIE" got it n lemme tell u something else MAIN HOON NA IS STILL D BIGGEST HIT OF D YEAR.GUDBYE SWTY.

Lakshya's just OK...period!
by Anand on Jun 28, 2004 10:54 AM  | Hide replies

There's nothin' great to write about Lakshya. I went there just 'coz it's a Farhan film and was quite disappointed. Hrithik's acting was not nething gr8 really, in fact, he looked like that mentally challenged guy in KMG in the first half. His expressions can b improved a lot! SRK would have done a better role! And Amitabh was wated in that role...no need to use Amit for that role, anyone else could have done it as well!....Music's not a big deal though the theme song brought memories of chale chalo from Lagaan...really inspiring!

Overall, not a film which "has to be seen". If u r a Hrithik fan, then go ahead...he hogs the limelight...'n most of the scenes!

cmmon those skills in kaho naa pyaar hai,the dancing, the action sequence at last,u call them ordinary. shahrukh khan only knows how to cry,i think he is repititive, always crying n he always drunk in most of his movies,i think his friends used to bully him in his teendays, thats how he learnt crying and now he is an expert in it.koi mil gaya waz superb,

Lakshya- 'A' grade movie
by Suraj on Jun 28, 2004 07:30 AM

Lakshya directed by Farhan Akhtar, does meet the expectations.Hrithik Roshan in Lakshya is fabulous, and he should win major awards next year for this performance. The main highlight of the film is the climax scene where six soldiers accomplish Misssion Vijay @18000 feet. Farhan Akhtar has a style of his own. Lakshya has no similarity with LOC or Border. Its entirely superior to those in class. JP is a director for the masses whereas Farhan is for the classes. A must watch 'A' grade movie according to me.

lakshya review
by Aparna on Jun 28, 2004 01:49 AM

I was moved after watchIng the fIlm.It projects realIty In a proper manner.I could relate wIth most of the characters; I was In tears watchIng the way army personnel serve our country and contribute selfishly for the benefit of ordinary citizens like us..the dIffIcultIes they face through regularly has been shown In a proper lIght...It makes me sIt up as an IndIan and as proud as always, salute all our soldIers !!
The locale In whIch the fIlm has been set is beautiful and the actors have performed well too....a unIque touch has been gIven to a war movie and I feel a perfect blend has been achieved...as It projects people of all ages and from different backgrounds. It is a highly inspirational movie which deals with emotIons well.it motivates youngsters like me to have a lakshya in life and put in the very best for achieving that..also watching a reel war journalist in itself made me realise the charm of being a journalist (Im a budding journalist)..definitely worth a watch with your family !!
Kudos to the entire crew and the director for a wonderful movie !
Jai Hind !!

Excellent Movie - Go See IT
by vk on Jun 27, 2004 11:59 PM

One of the excellent movies I have seen in sometime. The story line is excellent and the character buildup was very nice too, albeit, too much focus on Hirthik. But I am not complaining. The songs were VERY nice as well, the dynamics of various relationship done very nicely. One thing, I particularly enjoyed is that it didnt have "beam me up to Swiss for a song only" type of song scenes [personally, I hate our people jumping around and mouthing songs in the streets of Toronto or NYC]

Farhan Atkar has proved to be an excellent director yet again. The cinematography is also excellent. The way the camera pans across the plains and mountains of Leh, is breathtaking. If you expecting typical bollywood mirch masala then this in not you for. This is a mostly serious movie for a serious audience. When you leave the hall after watching this movie, it does gets you into some level of introspection. I ended up reading all about Kargil war all over again!

GO SEE IT! Personally, I am giving this movie A+

boring movie
by navin on Jun 27, 2004 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

although the cinematography was outstanding, the script was similar to LOC. this is Hrithik's worst acting. Both amitabh & preity are wasted in this movie. dont watch it......you'll be disappointed.
