its a well made movie and we loved every bit of it.the film shows a man living for 12 yrs making that decison to return.but being here just for 5 yrs also made us think on similar lines although for various other different reasons too.it all depends i think,on ones perspective and how hard it hits you and it did hit us hard..
People have always lived in dreams and they would love to live in that only. But Dreams are Dream they would be broken one day. Swadesh is one of the films which comes as a morning sun and breaks the dream of Indian audience. I loved the film and I am eager to see it one more time. Surprised ?? but y ?? why not again....? Are not ready to accept that whatever is shown in the movies is the bitter face of India. Hat's off to Ashutosh, who dare to do that. My one suggestion is this movie is only for people who live on earth and not in dreams. So if U really live on earth and if U are ready to face the reality go and watch Swadesh, mere bhaart ki khahaani.
really Swadesh is a next step of Lagaan. U can see the result of other films realeased this year, not much popular, but Swadesh. What can I do it was a intellegent movie
SWADES is a fantastic movie and thanks to ASUTOSH for making such a good movie. The concept, selection of actors and the way of presentation every thing is good in the film.
you have expressed all that i thought. I am from Coimbatore and thank god that this film was released after the much hyped Veer Zaara. So people found it easy to compare this film with that and i am glad to say that the response was positive. The film had much to say than any other regular film. swades should be promoted in a much better way.Even if we are able to get one Mohan out of 10 expatriates ... india will be a much better place to live in. another positive thing which is worth commendation is that the msg being given that people should not just be critisizing the govt and should rather try to do their part before falling prey to a conception that this is whay fate is...
For those who say "Apna desh Mahaan Hai" or "India is the greatest" it sheds light on the fact that we still have Racism and poverty prevailing in India and there are our countrymen who cannot atleast afford a meal for their family.
Yes we do have a great culture and tradition.
But one at the cost of racial discrimintaion and exploitation.
A great culture and tradition can soon die out if it doesnt pave way for the new generation and adapt to the Goodness of all and social well being of the people.
Tradition should be maintained but good practices should be assimilated and thats the way its going to be a better India for the next generation.
And for those who only critisice by saying "There is no hope for India the systems and everything here is bad" the film clearly conveys
AWAKE MY COUNTRYMEN !!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE BUT FOR CRITICISE ???
