Guys, Chill first of all I am not a tamilian but u have to see vikram's movie to appreciate his performance i have seen both films but the amt of preparation by vikram is tremendous vikram has been consistently brilliant in all his performances till date whether in sethu or this imagin losing 10 kilos for doing a film atleast in KMG hrithik has some glamour in vikram's film he entirely plays a deglamourised role give credit to him , he deserves it
see pitamagan then you will understand why did he not get the award.action wise vikram is better than hrithik. kamal Hassan is an better Actor. Amitabh is a better star. There is the difference.
This 'director' has to be a typical, Bollywood, frog-in-the-well type who thinks that civilisation ends at Aarey Film City. The unadulterated fact is that Bollywood is just pure commercial trash tailored for the lowest common denominator. Nothing inherently wrong with that, that's just how it's been scripted and its been a successful formula. Down South or in Bengal, it's a different story - the screenplay, the roles and the depiction allow for a lot of experimentation and you can just 'smell the soil', so to speak. So actors like Vikram and Surya will be able to provide such superlative performances every second day, but Hrithik being a product of Bollywood will only get such daring roles once in a blue moon. That's probably what's irking this unnamed director, or the writer Subhash Jha expressing his cowardly personal opinion.
Leave HR & Vikram issue. HR might have done great on KMG but it was copy of ET whereas Pithamagan was original. Period. Anyone seen Kamal's Guna will know the difference.
just one req.. wud like the "that" film-maker to watch this movie.. its not that Hrithik has not done a good job in KMG.. he was just amazing.. but its just the outstanding performance by Vikram... that bagged him this award..
mind you.. there is no discremination between Bollywood and south indian films.. "tere naam" was a remake of the tamil film "sethu" another vikram starrer.. "tere naam" was a hit in bollywood with salman's amazing performance. just imagine how much of a power packed performance would be in sethu..
i just wanted to say that i watched both the movies and infact hrithik is my favourite actor in hindi but i wld like to say that vikrams performance in pithamagan is much much better than hrithik. his portrayal of the character is mind blowing. i feel he deserved the award. no offense to any hrithik fans
Watever The Top Film maker says. The awards are declared and Vikram is the Clear Winner. This time the Jury has given it to the right person. Even the whole of the media is to be blamed . If this award had gone to Hrithik Then there would have been lots of fanfare and wishs. But as it is Vikram noone are wishin him goodwill for the award [ expect a few ] . No news channel had even said his winnin of award . Come on this is not Fair . Media should Be As it should be ,before pointing finger at others and politicians for BIASING. Wake Up Media ........... Wake Up ..... He Has Won it . Let Us all Wish him. Instead of Coontroversories jus in sake for a good story . Please .......
