Whether a model or non model, acting is inborne characteristics...If you have it in you, u can ..if u dont have it...u can't ...acting is related to inner talent not facial or bodily features...Today's model turned actors are a mix of these...
Basically its only an actor who can act.What I mean is that acting is an inborn attribute.Acting needs so many other skills like dialogue delivery, depth of expressions or emotions, body language etc.....It is also an art.But yes, if an actor/actress is blessed with those Godly/aphrodisiac looks then its a bonus. what I feel is, Its easy for an actor to be a model with fair amount of success ,rather than the other way round. The bottomline is, a model may become an actor or actress, but not necessarily a successful one.
No, certainly not. As models their actions are unrealistic, automated and artificial. Models act that they are ever smiling and always happy. They know only the grand of life and not the other. Models can never make an audience cry. They would be fun to watch if they try to cry and express their emotions.
But to act, there has to ne a natural flair for it to express any emotions to cover the audiences both happiness and sadness.
going by the performances of the recent model turned actresses,it may be inferred that models are not good enough to be actors.apart from aishwarya rai, who has come up with few good performances in films like "hum dil de chuke sanam" and " devdas", for which she even won the best actress award, none of them have really impressed the audience with their acting skills.a close look on their performances will reveal that these models lay more emphasis on their outward looks and sensuality rather than acting skills.although these criterions are a pre-requisite now a days for any performer to make an impression among today's quality savvy audience, however, it is the basic acting skill that catches our attention among a plethora of attracting models and provides us a touchstone to winnow out the good preformers among them.sadly, now a days models seem to be pandering to masses low taste of sex and violence and forgetting to consummate their basic acting skill for which there are still lot of audiences left. it is evident that models are not good enough actors,but it will be presumptuous to dismiss their acting ability.only a small change in attitude will work wonders for them.
