I don't treat amitabh as a god of acting. My friends recommended me to watch this movie, and I had to change my views. This movie is ultimate and a complete show of amitabh's verstality. Many movies were made on the topic but none of the actors did appeal so much as did amitabh. I saw a comment from some Rama here. I could not stop laughing when he/she compared SRK to Amitabh. A person who can not even do a litle justice to a bit complicated role( like in AShoka), and who is only made for chocolate movies(KKKG,Mohabbatein,DDLG), how one can expect him to rise above the status of star and behave like an actor? Verstality & durability and many other words stands only for actors like amitabh who is still ruling bollywood for last 30 years and citics like Rama, still go and watch his movies and feel insecured about their model while watching the brilliant flame of the greatest ever of hindi cinema. I was full of tears and aftr watching the movies. i see change in my attitude towards my parents. Direction and hema were excellent. Must see movie, IF U WISH TO CHANGE UR STARS LOYALITY TOWARDS EXCELLENCE! Hats off Baghbaan.
Agreed, this ones' a movie for bachchan fans....I mean somebody at 61 holding an audience for 2 1/2 hrs on his own, is not even funny. Though, to be honest i have not seen the movie as yet, kinda missed out on this....but all that i've seen/read bout this movie, sounds good. Apart from that bachchan's song over the phone, its overdone...i mean i dont expect the BIG B singing something like that, he looks too weak/shattered, and thats NOT the Bachchan we know.
And goes without saying hema malini, she sure looks ravishing.
Praises-Praises and praises are all we are rec. for Baghban-but is the movie worth it??-sure we love Big B but problem is director too loves him too much and uses him too much and the problem is you get an overdose of Big B-just see the climax speech and you feel like running out of the movie hall. Please directors use him like Sean Connery-small but powerful roles not like Tom, Dick and Harry.

My dear friend, how u can say that where is SRK. is there any point to talk abt him. man! Baghban is such a great movie that I am gonna buy that DVD first time.

Now a days almost every movie is lifted (inspired) from some other movie. Now this film is less like the tamil movie you have mentioned, if I am rightly relating to movies you have mentioned, but more like the hindi film starring Sanjeev Kumar & Mala Sinha. Even the screen play looks similar. But this does not take away the credits of the artists, director and technicians, who have so worked so honestly created the tear jerker. Also at his age, these roles suit the great actor most. We definitely want to see him in more of such roles.

The Idea and Story behind Baghban is all about children's responsibility towards parents, when its time to give our parents our life and commitment for all the years of hard work they put in for all the years, atleast until this moment where we can even try to stand before them...
Amitabh and Hema match the roles perfectly and these 2 class performers are really world class....agreed SRK is a talented actor, but my friend, your entire analysis and understanding of Bagban is not perfect....this definately is not a teenage love story, requiring SRK to dance around trees!!!!!....

why compare SRK with Amitabh ? Amitabh is playing his actual age. SRK will have to take birth 7 times to match Big B.
Hats off to both ravi chopra & Amitabh. really a very good moovie.. its very good to see bothamitabh and hema after a long time and having a good role too... brilliant performance by both of them.....the films has nothing to do for others... A very good family moovie after a long time and having heart touching story !!!!! well done & congrats to Baghban team!!!!
If you want to know ahat is the meaning of complete, go for this movie. Bacchan looks like the GOD, who can't have any flaw and Hema looks like beauty which is complete. She is like old wine in a new bottle, against which every brand of new wine (Mahima, Suman, Divya, Rima) is fail. The storyline is very good and the climax is again complete. Thanks Mr. Ravi Chopra for providing Bagwaan.
