The film simply superb. A++++ for the acting of the living legend the one and only Amitji and even Hemaji was superb and stunning beauty and acting matched with Amitji perfect and the make a good pair nice to see both of them together after a span of 20 years. Paresh was also good in the small role given to him. Rest of the cast had nothing much to do afterall it was out and out Amitji-Hemaji movie. Thanks a lot for BR films for giving such a good movie. U have always giving a movie with a theme of what happens in the society. Hoping to see more of ur films.

Prem Natarajan
Bachchan Tour De Force

Amitabh towers in this movie. His performance packs a punch that is rare, all too rare, in Hindi movies. The intensity that he brings to the role brings back memories of the raw, uncut Amitabh in Kala Pathar. This is best love story I have seen in a long long time. Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail are insipid in comparison. Ah! the moment when Bachchan and Hema meet on the platform of Vijainagar station! Mark my words, it will become one of the best remembered scenes in Hindi movies.

Even if SRK were to take a million cinematic rebirths, his quivering voice and shivering body language together do not have the same expressive power as one single raised Bachchan eyebrow. So lets put that debate to rest. SRK was, is, and will remain a wannabe thespian. Bachchan on the other hand has taken the career of a superstar to new levels. His portrayal of the betrayed father through the movie is like the tensed string of a warrior bow. The arrow is release in the final scene - "main unhe kabhi muaaf nahin karta."

Storywise, of course, there are countless Tamil movies in this genre - Vietnam Veedu, Visu's Samsaram oru Minsaram, etc.

I don't treat amitabh as a god of acting. My friends recommended me to watch this movie, and I had to change my views. This movie is ultimate and a complete show of amitabh's verstality. Many movies were made on the topic but none of the actors did appeal so much as did amitabh.
I saw a comment from some Rama here. I could not stop laughing when he/she compared SRK to Amitabh. A person who can not even do a litle justice to a bit complicated role( like in AShoka), and who is only made for chocolate movies(KKKG,Mohabbatein,DDLG), how one can expect him to rise above the status of star and behave like an actor?
Verstality & durability and many other words stands only for actors like amitabh who is still ruling bollywood for last 30 years and citics like Rama, still go and watch his movies and feel insecured about their model while watching the brilliant flame of the greatest ever of hindi cinema.
I was full of tears and aftr watching the movies. i see change in my attitude towards my parents. Direction and hema were excellent. Must see movie, IF U WISH TO CHANGE UR STARS LOYALITY TOWARDS EXCELLENCE!
Hats off Baghbaan.
