i watched this movie on saturday in Birmingham. Hats off to Amitabh, Hema Malini and Ravi Chopra. what a good movie. it was a nice treat. over the last ten years i watched so many Hindi movies but never felt so moved. this movie made me cry. i recomand this movie is a must see for every one younger generation as well as older generations. what a beautiful husband wife relationship they presented in this movie.
The movie sound rather like a Tamil classic - VIETNAM VEEDU - starring the late Sivaji Ganesan and Padmini. And it was made nearly 30 years ago - perhaps the Rajesh-Shaban movie was a take off from the Tamil original?
I saw the film and really surprised, because Big B showed his best performance than what we have seen in Boom.Further, Hema Malini looking so beautiful with Salman, and other stars.
The movie is very good & have succeeded to convey its message, of course, in very imotional way. The children of present generations should welcome resposbilities of their parents. The acting was very good, specially of Amitabh, Paresh.. The movie is worth watching, specially with children..
Very few movies will make the audience involve so deeply into the theme. Without ones knowledge tears start flowing by watching towering emotional performance by Big B. Movie is very much worth watching by all generations. India never had and will never have a Great Performer like Big B.
The film has it's moments. But an otherwise fine movie could've been better had they made a few changes like not casting the new actress Rimi as the "daughter" of Aman Verma and Suman Ranganathan. They look like siblings. The story also needs to explain why the parents "had" to live apar-as if there was no other way out.And finally the overdose of songs. The family has a song for all festivals.Such things look strange.Thank god they spared diwali!!
