He's a Legend, his movies r unique, people copy from him as he is the Baap of indian cinema for last 30yrs. so there's no camparision for him as no one has the caliber even to stand next 2 his shadows, at this age also he is Biggest star than others like Sharukh, Hritik, Amir...etc. He is God gifted for indian Cinema in all aspects...acting, singing, comedy, action, emotion, dancing....i salute this angry young man...turned to a respected old-man. Munna, goa.
Amitabh...Lord of acting, hema queen of acting, paresh....badshah of comedy & salman....prince of acting...Classic combination, there's no camparision for this class act nor it's a copy of any movie...as this movie is a BAAP of all..hats off 2 chopra, Adesh(music) & Big B..(father of indian Cinema). Thanx to salman, don't fall but rise in LOVE & u have done it...thats it !
I had posted a message TWICE a week back or so, in a way, tearing down the movie "Baghban". I don't see that message posted (As you can judge one of my important past times is to see if messages I sent get posted!).
Lemme try 15 more times... 'Baghbhan' makes you wonder if the "Superstar of the Millenium" has lost his gleam after all. Otherwise how can you explain a perfectly insipid set of actors, cast as his sons, audaciously launching a tirade against our "angry old man" (even the Ford dealership guy gets to push around Bachchan!). Our guy does not raise even a finger but writes/types a book!
There is this Tamil actor called Visu who was famous for his family "thrillers" symbolized by his high-pitched voice, alliterative dialog and mischeivous puns. His movies used to be homonymically named, such as "Samsaram athu Minsaram", "Kaavalan Avan Kovalan". "Baghban" belongs to that genre and should have been named "Baghban, Ek Shokban".
At least, you feel a shade sorry for Bachchan, but it is difficult to sympathize with Hema Malini because she is still a bomb!
The "Incorrigible Whisperer", woodenly chants "Thvameva Matha..." and the movie becomes even more torturous.
I saw the movie with my family and loved it immensely you got to come out of the tennage and the youth mentality and see the picture from the viewpoint of the parents who are so essential to all of us. however, since there are always there, we tend to ignore them. baghban revisits those territories of need. dipankar
It was a nice movie with good acting by lead artists, but I got so many questions in my mind?
- Why do they make such movies which has appeared in every languages atleast 100 times in different movies...
- Can kids be so bad/selfish in an educated family like that...
- Kids usually are like their parents... How can Amithab & Hema Malini's kids be so selfish.. doesn't it mean that they were brought up by them in a wrong way..
- Don't you think there was something wrong with something in their family.
- NOt all kids can be mean. Atleast one of them would have been nice.
- If they got the clue that their kids don't want them, why didn't they leave after a month.
- Whats up with unnecessary songs
Now to the good points - Hema Mailini looks great... If she and her daughter stand next to each other.. Hema Malini WINS - Bachan's acting wonderful. - Love, Affection, Emotions - As you get older with your wife, you can't stay away from each other. - Movie made me miss my parents a lot.
I believe that the movie was wonderfully portrayed. It has its appeal because old age is an experience that almost everyone will go through. People forget that the aged also have feelings - and Baghban successfully shows this. Keep up the good work - very unbollywoodish!
