Hungama is a truly delightful movie and certainly the funniest Hindi movie I've ever seen. But if I'd heeded the advice of the rediff rewiever, I'd have missed out on this great entertainer.Rediff should seriously consider packing this hyper-critical lady off. Every person in the theatre(which was packed,by the way) had a huge smile on his/her face when the movie got over. Isn't that what you go to a movie for?To be entertained? My advice to everyone reading this. Do see the movie. I'm going to see it again.
It will be advisable for the reviewer to keep her intelligent mind at home while reviewing a comedy film. Priyadarshan never claimed to make a classic. His film is meant to be a fun film with lots of confusion. And why to compare it with Hera Pheri. It was a different kind of comedy and Hungama is a different kind. And if I am not mistaken even Hera Pheri was panned by all the critics but the film was loved by the audience. And this will be the case in Hungama also. The fact is that the film is a fun riot. Paresh Rawal excels once again. Each and every character has performed well. Well done, Priyadarshan.
