I have tried to but just don't understand this obsession with Aishwarya. Acting is just not her forte. Put her with the likes of Kajol, Tabu, Rani, Madhuri and Manisha, and they will have her for lunch! In Devdas, Madhuri steals the show all the time. In Kandukondain ..., it is Tabu who is riveting. See how Rani emotes in Chalte Chalte; Aishwarya wouldn't even have come close. She is very modelly all the time; especially notice her hand gestures and the practised smile. And one more thing - everyone goes on about her looks as if all the other actresses are zilch. Kajol, Madhuri, Rani - they are all beauties and atleast they look like they have some life in them. Seems to me like it's a fair + light eyes = lovely hangup. In fact, the birthdays of Tabu, Sushmita Sen, Raveena, Juhi Chawla are also in November. Will rediff celebrate these people who truly deserve to be celebrated?
Aishwarya is THE performer. She is learning and improving in her own way. She competes with herself. Her talent is so immense that only very talented professionals can manage to tap a portion of her talent. Mark my words-- People may come and people may go but Aishwarya was, Aishwarya is and by the Grace of God Aishwarya will remain THE force to reckon with

At least there are a few out there who can see the acting capabilities of ms.rai!She is so Boring!Not only cant she act,there is absolutely no chemistry with her male costars onscreen.Taal was a like a music video & she looked beautiful & danced wonderfully.HDDCS was good only thanks to Ajay devgan.Otherwise she is just a cardboard copy with a few practised expressions & smiles.Come on give us Madhuri,Kajol,Tabu,Raveena anyday.I have nothing against her.Only let her just stick to modelling & dancing.She is always Ms World!With her sickly sweet smile,modulated voice,zero sex appeal,her nakhras, its a torture to sit thru a film of hers.Of course she is extremely pretty.But then lets just stick to seeing her pictures in magazines instead of having to see her "ACT"!
Icons are made out of the charisma oozing out of them, and in this regard Ash seems to be no more than a barbie illuminated by the blinding limelight. She is a manufactured product, like those stupid movie 'My Big Fat Greek wedding'. Reading through the messages, it seems that most of them point out that two of her best movies were 'Iruvar' and 'Kandukondein', which is true; and 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' is a shameless lift-off of Bhagyaraj's "Andha 7 naatkal" - which was a very big hit in Tamil before 20 years. It's not true that she can find good roles in South; only good films from South are getting noticed, and like bollywood, the rest is crappier than the crappiest trash. But it's true that Aishwarya Rai can act: she was so adept in acclimatizing to the 'asinine desi girl look' that is required for fitting into the niche of Bollywood!! Time to think of what she's doing and where she's heading.
