Maithili Rao has no idea what she is talking about. I wonder if she has ever complimented any performance. It is senseless to argue on Aishwarya Rai's performance in "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam". It is undoubtedly one of the best performances ever in Hindi cinema. She deservedly won the award for it.
I as a director had doubts before ash came on screen, wether she can act or is she a pretty face? From a trained perspective, She is a good actress who like every other actress needs a good script and a director who actually knows filmmaking. Most of our Indian directors, seriously don't know what they are doing. must be why the FLOP RATE IS 97%.

True what everyone is saying about her being a mannequin and true that the only place where she really 'acts' is in Josh. She actually puts a performance and looks fine. She only looks nice in places that she cries. Still can not believe she won best actress over Madhuri, now here is a fine unique actress. People may say that the likes of Madhuri and Juhi are old news but it is their films which bring out the real ability of acting. True beuty Queens.

What a big load of crap!!!! All along, Aish was considered to be "heavenly" and "out-of-the-world" and so on and suddenly all this venom being spewed out with apparent malicious intentions. It appears almost certain that Salman Khan and his well-wishers/supporters are getting back at Aish for publicly declaring that she has/will have nothing to do with the so-called "hero" who's been roaming the streets scot-free even after a clear case of hit-and-run, for which he rightly deserves to be behind bars!!!
I don't understand why sooo many people are infatuated with aishwarya rai...yaaa she's pretty but is that even what she really looks like? God knows how many layers and layers of makeup she puts on to look that way and how many hours she spends straightenin her hair to look like that....what happened to REAL and NATURAL beauties who let their natural looks and acting abilities talk for them...case in point manisha koirala....if aishwarya had the guts to do a dil se with no makeup whatsoever and still give a mesmerizing performance then maybe i might start to take her seriously until then...only real people like manisha will have my vote
Aishwarya rai is beautiful scorpio,but lacks more expressions compared to Juhi.Still not out of race to the top 2 in modern day dearth for good heroines.
Why all of a a sudden, everyone is ganging up on poor AISH? SO what if she is a model? She a far better actress than many of the other actresses themselves.. those who come from a family full of actors & actresses, or those who have been in the industry forever... I don't consider AIsh to be like the greatest actress that ever lived? but she's not a horrible actresse either! I personally wish her all the best in her career! toodles, P
