by sanjeev gaonkar on Mar 01, 2018 02:20 PM  | Hide replies

Why this writer is so worried about Modi!!!!!!

when money was sanctioned by UPA rule, sanctioned authority and then concerned minister also to be arrested.
Let law decide to take its course of action and duration.
India is a democratic country.
first of all article writers in Rediff are bucket holders and biscuit catchers.

NO FACILITY seems to have been sanctioned officially. The illegal transaction reported to have happened since 2011. As LOU has validity period most of such LOU would have either be retired or repaid. LOU issued since April 2017 would have been pending as similar such operation seems to have been stopped during Jan 2018.- Quantum of loss is yet to be disclosed. Had the LOU issued at the initial stage is/are returned this fraudulent transaction would have been noticed.

All bulk of explanations and reasons need to be provided by Mr Naredra modi for past 70 Yrs sins.. NDTV and Mirror now's coverage of the brutal killing of the adivasi in the hands of peacefuls in kerala was a non event .. Had it happened in any BJP ruled state by a hindu guy , all of them would have shouted in the top of their voice .... Presstitutes of highest order..

these scams are from the previous govt - era. why did these crooks not feel the need to elope then and only now? is it because their immunity from govt. action has gone?

But the scammers freely left during this Govt. period only, due to weakness of immigration procedures followed by our Home Ministry, where the advanced information is available about the scam?

Hold baby ....pull the tail and elephant will be ultimately coming out. already seven person including one GM rank official has been arrested. i believe those who are guilty eventually will be arrested. but dissolving RBI is immature suggestion. PNB is suffering its own mistakes hope every other organization/govt/department will learn lesson from such complacency .

Special court for politicians and high profile cronies
by Sameer Shaikh on Mar 01, 2018 01:07 PM  | Hide replies

If Narendra Modi was serious about eliminating corruption, he would do this immediately

Create a fast track court as directed by supreme court for all MP, MLAs and politicians who are facing criminal charges. Both Congress and BJP have equal number of politicians facing serious criminal charges. This include Advani and Uma Bharti for instigating riots

Lokpal needs to be worked and implemented soon

Corruption have not gone down, but increased drastically. For example in Mumbai still there is water, sand, bricks mafia that is hand in gloves with politicians. Politicians takes commission charges per sqft from builder or lump sum amount. That is why we have fictitious or artificial high cost of our real estate.

Time has come to make political funding from corporates under public domain. Both BJP and Congress get money from corporates and cronies. This include media.

All account of CBI, NIA, politicians should be available to public for scrutiny so that we know their reality

Law to dismiss from service if found to be involved in corruption. China allows death penalty for 'extremely serious' corruption cases. India is a joke in accountability.

The ruling party BJP must be made accountable as to which corporate or businessmen are close. We know of Ambani, Adani, Subash Chandra. Besides Mittal, Godrej, Mahendra. Etc.

Some 12 top industrialist own 25% of NPA. Identify which one is close to congress and BJP. Expose their connection

Yes I agree and only against those who have become useless like Lalu Prasad. BJP big men who can bring votes like Yedurappa are hero.

I agree with Agree with Arun Shourie ... BJP is Congress Cow. It means Congress had secular criminals, BJP has communal criminals.

And nations never get transformed when criminals rule the roost.

End my line with my hero Lee Kuan Yew who described it appropriately "With few exceptions, democracy has not brought good government to new developing countries". The journey. What Asians value may not necessarily be what Americans or Europeans value. Westerners value the freedoms and liberties of the individual. As an Asian of Chinese cultural background, my values are for a government which is honest, effective and efficient. A government held accountable that provide food, jobs, health and good administration to people. The western society have long forced their version of democracy which may be not work in certain culture, values and current circumstances.

I just wish if Indians were half intelligent like him and other nation builders who would have listen to him like Chinese leaders who have heeded to his advise and now close to taking American economy.
