One simple question to Mr. Venkatesh!!!!!!!!
by Manoj Ghosh on Mar 01, 2018 03:01 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr. Venkatesh, what do you think about the unscrupulous and corrupted CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS who play the role of AUDITORs and help these thieves like Nirav Modi to steal national resources? These CAs are entrusted to implement checks and balances in the system so that peoples like Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi, Vijay Mallya can't cheat the nation. So, it is better if the author come clean on the role of his class before commenting on others.

Throughout the year, the bankers are busy with one audit or others like concurrent, statutory audit, RBI audit, internal audit etc. None of the auditors has ever pointed out any discrepancy in this deal. What is the role played by the top management of the bank ? Were they sleeping when large amount of LOU were issued by their representative and were not aware of the liability which may fall on them in case party become a defaulter ? why no amount was shown even as a contingent liability in their Audit accounts ? I feel that the top management of the bank, RBI and the auditors has miserably failed in their professional duties and CBI must take them to task for their serious lapse.

Bhaiyaji, better read the comments carefully and if you have very limited capacity to understand the role of Auditors and top bank officials of the bank and RBI , better keep quiet instead of exposing your lack of knowledge and intelligence.

Nothing will happen, we are the spectators only

Yesterday CBI advised NiMo to come to India for prosecution and he bluntly and darely rejected informing that he is having businesses through out the world. What they will do, only citizens can hear powerful speeches from the head of the Govt., where a meagre amount may be recovered as eye wash. Very funny, there is no control over the immigration process to our Home Ministry and hence those culprits are escaping from the country with the hard earned money of people.

India and corruption goes hand in hand - democracy
by Sameer Shaikh on Mar 01, 2018 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

Recently a New Zealand writer Brian Godzone has written an article that spread like fire on social media which I will write in brief or summarize because of its size

Indians are Hobbesian (having culture of self interest. Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore said the same, had it been 75% Indians, 15% Malays and the rest Chinese, it would not have worked, because Indian people believe in politics of contention and opposition but because in Singapore because of chinese influential culture, populace politics sought a practical way out of their difficulties and it worked)

Now this New Zealand writer said corruption is a cultural aspect. India does not only tolerate corrupt, but worship them and to know why we have to look at patterns

1) Religion is transactional in India. Indians gives gold, cash, food in anticipate for out of turn reward at religious places. Babas, guru, peer, Sufis are first step towards give and take culture hence corruption does not look bad for Indians.

He said when European and Englishmen came to India, they build modern institutions and system, whereas majority of Indians who went abroad have taken their feudal society in a modern society,

Indians believe if we can offer almighty money at religious places, there is nothing wrong in giving to corrupt beaurocrats.

Morality of Indians. He said corrupt jayalalitha went to jail and made a comeback, such scenario is impossible or unthinkable in western society

Second, Indian moral authority towards corruption is visible in its history. Capture of cities and kingdoms after guards were paid to open the gates and commander paid to surrender. Nizam took money to send his army. An invader who captured India bought kings easily. Mughals vanished Maratha and Rajput with bribes.

Last Indians do not believe in theory that all can rise if each of them behaves morally because it is not the message of the faith. Caste system separates them. The division of mind and inequality due to suppression and corrupt society in India taken a short route through corruption. From start Indian mind is calibrated for give and take to do their work because their forefathers have done bribery.

Hence corruption is in the DNA of Indians. From religion to customs like marriage where sister in law hides shoes to extract money from her sister husband to offering brides in exchange for dowry.

This was from a New Zealand writer Brian Godzone whom I agree. Indians are born corrupt and cheaters and also agree with Lee who said had majority of Indians were in place of Chinese (75% (opposite), Singapore would have been a morally corrupt society. This is why western democracy is a hoax in India which western media projects is as heavenly condition which is against the values of Indian culture.
