It is worth to go thro' the article. Many knows, but what is the alternative? Road transport is still at higher rate and dangerous these days. Prime Tatkal is another type of robbery. They charge more than 3 times for an ordinary sleeper, but they don't provide Lower Berth for aged resulting suffering. With all these type of charges, there is no announcement facility regarding arrival of the station, especially which is most necessary between 10 pm to 6 am in all the trains.
The railways is the lifeline and if it is not maintained properly it will stop. Railway reforms are must. The communist mentality people closed all mills in India including kanpur. Every modle must be a self sustained model otherwise it cant run longer.
Indian Railways might become another Air India and government should privatize it. Still trains are running at grandfather speeds and being called WAP 7 , WAG 15.. cruising etc. I am sure even in my grandson period nothing can be achieved in this entity. Worst service and nightmare when you board trains whether you will reach destination safely.

Hon Railway Minister has no words till date. Where there is no transparency things get very murky. I saw the interview by the defense minister who kept on blaming the previous government for their folly. This is the way forward.
