Suresh Tenvillage
Sitaram Yechury and CPI(M)
by Suresh Tenvillage on Aug 07, 2015 05:36 PM

India has amazing democracy, when the party(CPM)has no peoples mandate (except one small state) their members behave like as if they are major opposition in both the houses of parliament.

Mr.Yechury and his party are born opposition whether its congress or BJP, which is an indication that it is antinational and its objective is hindering the growth and development of the country. Therefore, deserve to disbanded immediately.

There are still pitfalls in our constitution which qualify for amendment.

Land Bill embarrasment for the Modi govt
by pcroyghatak on Aug 07, 2015 04:54 PM

No not at all, the land is required to bring industry, development projects,--thus when the NDA is not having majority in Rajya sabha --how can they pass any bill which is opposed by UPA.At present there is a dead lock and not an inch is procured since june 2014. There are ample scope in future to amend the bill and make it more farmer as well as industry freindly.

Not a defeat for the Govt.
by rajeev padmanabha panicker on Aug 07, 2015 03:55 PM

Everybody knows that in Rajyasabha NDA has no majorityand any new bill is to be passed Rajyasabha also should passthe same. In the absence of majority in Rajyasabha, dadagiri of the Congress has to be tolerated. But media is also equally contributing to this Dadagiri by not exposing Congress party.

Not a Defeat for Modi Government But for the Nation
by Sudhir Bisht on Aug 07, 2015 03:22 PM

Dear Shishir,
I agree with your views mostly but I disagree with your contention that this is a defeat for the Modi government. The Modi government has already won the mandate to govern for 5 years. It can only be defeated when it comes to polls in 2019.
But the country has been defeated indeed by the Opposition that didn't allow the required amendments to go through.
The Nation loses, not the party- in power or in opposition.
Need of the hour is bipartisanship behavior from all parties in affairs of strategic national importance

Land Bill U-turn: Another defeat for the Modi govt
by Prabhakar Waghodekar on Aug 07, 2015 01:24 PM  | Hide replies

In democracy there is nothing like defeat and win save a few instances where votes are counted and if such a thing exists this is not democracy where the ruling party and opposition parties are expected to arrive at a decision as per the consciousness of the houses. What the ruling party has done to give a justice to this consciousness. It is most unfortunate that media gives it a color of defeat as if Democracy means a battle on field. Note well whatever decisions the Houses take have long term effects on the National welfare. All parties need to function accordingly. Wait and watch and Indian masses will come to know the outcomes of today's House decision that is certainly not a single party's decision.

The communist man Yechury lacks brain it seems.
When the NDA knows that it can not pass the bill in its present form, then they have to come down, we have useless opposition like Congress and other regional parties , Junk communists party who know only to strike for any flimsy reason.. Modi will definitely make amendments , once he get hsi say in RS too. That time Congress will be in grave yard. communists only on the streets .
