Postpone the Land Bill till BJP gets Rajya Sabha majority!!!
Till then get going on GST, Labour reform, and all other reforms....

One day people are bound to get fed up of "Secular" and "Obstructionist" politics and thereafter Land Bill, Railway Reform bill and other 2nd generation reforms can be taken up!!!

Pick one option
by srnvs san on Aug 07, 2015 12:22 PM  | Hide replies

1. Defeat -- Accommodate suggestions of opposition

2. Arrogance -- Go ahead with laws for development.

3. Sit quite like UPA and destroy the country.

Which one should we pick?

It Seems you have started watching TV and reading newspaper since 26 May 2014. Or your financial condition is improved from that day so that you can afford both from that day? If either of the statement is true - then aapke to toh Aachchhe Din start ho gaya from the very first day of the govt.

Best to leave it to the states
by Jagdish Dubey on Aug 07, 2015 12:21 PM

As it is the states have the final say in the matter, hence it should be left to the states to decide. With BJP ruled states going for the amendments proposed the first time, they will witness rapid urbanization and industrialization with land prices zooming post development. Other states can take time to decide and progress or languish. It is for their electorate to decide which party to elect next time.

Modi's defeat
by anil kumar joshi on Aug 07, 2015 12:19 PM

Its not defeat but arrogance of Congress party who wants to showoff that even with low numbers of MP's we can play around like Congress played around the Indian public since independence.Let Mr Modi get sufficient numbers in Rajya Sabha then Congress will come to know what is actual government for the people.

Defeat !!!
by C V on Aug 07, 2015 12:18 PM

I guess media is doing nothing but to create hype on all news items it seems. If at all the government wants to accommodate the suggestions of opposition parties, it should not be called 'defeat for govt.' but if such actions are in the interest of the nation, it should be seen that way, positively. I guess in order to win TRP, the media is getting themselves involved in sensationalizing news items, creating hype, etc., which are not good for the society/nation.

IT IS A VICTORY OF FARMERS!
by K Mohanan on Aug 07, 2015 12:15 PM  | Hide replies

The defeat of the Bill is victory of farmers and poorest of poor. It is a lesson that if people are united, no one can evict them from their lands and forcibly acquire their fertile land to hand it over to Capitalists.

Defeat
by arungopal agarwal on Aug 07, 2015 10:19 AM

Proper word is compulsion of secular democratic norm, if you call it defeat, better go for emergency for one year and first amend all bars of legal constitutional system which has created big vacuum in govt. functioning i.e. accountability of govt. servants, politicians and judges.
