Please write sensibly , just because in india you can write just about anything and get away with it , do not write such articles which misrepresents the entire effort

Dinanath Batra opens a blank book
by piri on Nov 08, 2014 04:39 PM

each morning and farxts into a few pages before visiting the loo. These farxts are so potent that they create patterns on the pages on which they are directed.

He then takes this book to the ICHR, the CBSE and the ICSE in Delhi and, using his clout with the Modi govt, forces them to make copies of those patterns and inlcude them in school history textbooks as newer and newer findings from the past about India !

Truly, Narendra Modi is outdoing what Murli Manohar Joshi did a decade ago in re-inventing Indian history!

Waste of Money
by niladri mohanty on Nov 08, 2014 04:34 PM

When late Hanumathayaa built the Vidhan Saudha in Bengaluru it was huge controversy. Now it is huge tourist attraction. How many people have made a living out of it. Statue of liberty was a gift of the French people to the USA. There might have been so controversy in France then. But how many people visit this monument in a year. Have we added up the money we spend in receiving the ministers in all states by offering bouquets. Thankfully I saw news that this bouquet business is to be discouraged now. You can multiply such instances of expenditure leaving no mark anywhere.

Beating drum
by rajesh on Nov 08, 2014 04:32 PM

Modi is beating drums on wasting on patel statue, After Gujarat ritos, for which he was a silent observer, to install statue is nothing but beating own drums. He is spending huge money on a man statue who united India and not demolished Babri Masjid etc. Real respect to Patel is to become a responsible citizen, does BJP or Modi can become that?

Several statues of the dynasty
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Nov 05, 2014 05:05 AM  | Hide replies

In India we have countless statues of Indra Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi that do not mean anything. Those are criminal wastes, while the large Sardar Patel statue is a tourist monument that will earn foreign exchange.
