The second sentence is wrong. It cannot be used as address and identity proof. RBI has said it is not acceptable and banks still require other documents for identity and address proofs.
Recently I applied for Adhar card after standing in queue from 10 am to 4pm. The only relief was the total strangers in queue supported each other so that people could take rest in between and have food. One person even went to buy vegetables and then came back and joined the queue where he left.
I have applied for the Aadhaar Card this month. I have done all the formalities.
I have received the acknowledgement for the same also. While going thru the details i came to know that the address was incomplete typed. My Building Name was missing.Only the flat No. was mention as 202. Here in my area every building has flat no.202.
I have contacted the center, they said nothing can be done.

Before printing they show u if all details r correct. Why didnt u raise this issue then and there ??

Rebuking him NOW will not solve the problem! If you have any suggestions on how he can get card, let him know otherwise keep your unnecassary criticism to yourself.
Applied for AAdhar card 6 months back.Along with NotReceived yet. i think misplaced in transit by officials. what is the procedure for obtaining duplicte Aadhar card.
We made a couple of attempts to register, but the long queues turned us back. Before we made another attempt, I read in the papers that in a Cabinet meeting, our P.M. asked, "Why do we need it?". Now I am wondering if it is worth all the trouble.
The authority/agent had taken the details and photo of our family for Issue of Aadhar card in May-2012. Till now the card is not yet received. It was told that the cards would be issued in July-2012. When we can expect the Cards?
