Ask your village head/ municipality elected member to issue a identity proof. Being a member of the locality of village/ town the person in charge must be knowing every person in the surrounding. Now yu should take the identity proof given to the municipality chairman office/MLA office and request the office babus to provide you an identity proof based on the previously issued ID proof by your local leader. Should not be a big issue. I had got it once and it was very easy. I am living abroad and when I went to India back it got difficult for me to get a new address proof. But in the above mentioned way I got it. ID / Address proof issued by Chairman of municipality/ MLA office is valid for opening bank account. Then you can take the bank statement fr any official work, it is valid.

You are absolutely right. Indian citizens are fed up about this identity game. Every new year a new card is introduced but worst thing is to get this card the poor people have to run pillar to post to obtain it. Nearly one year has passed since they applied but my many friends are yet to receive adhaar card. Even a person like Neelakeni has failed to make impact in this scene.

Aadhar card
by asli mumbaikar on Mar 06, 2013 06:05 PM

We as a nation have become paranoid.we seek an ID and foto for everything. we also dont trust any of the documents. In Maharashtra the Home Dept had issued a news item not to accept Ration cards as ID proofs. In fact many dont have a valid ration card as the system to check misuse has failed miserably. The DL is also not to be used as ID.Now this card would also go the way of others.
Also why dont they issue the cards on the spot?why post? And anyway they are taking the address from the doc provided, so why the second check? If there is no primary doc then post.
After a few years we may have to show an ID and fix a foto for getting a bus tkt.

And change of address in Aadhar card would be a nightmare and none would bother abt it.

After all these years and follow-up, I have not recd my voter card.
6/3/13

Why not issue a gas connection or mb ph (SIM) based on the aadhar card..it is All-India.After all a person can be traced.

Why Aadhar when it requires existing Id & Address proof??
by Anant Anant on Mar 06, 2013 05:02 PM  | Hide replies

Strange that Aadhar is dependent on existing some Id & Address proof. That means a person already has Id proof, why a new number??

Then question is why waste money on new number with so much additional data like bio metrics? This article says so much duplicates gets eliminated? how?? Every thing mentioned in this article is subjective without telling how Aadhar will do that? Just waste of Tax payers money. Why biometric required?

A state like Tamilnadu having a population of 6 crores(when last verified), is having a population of 7.5 crores as per the ration cards issued. You can calculate how much money is swindled as per above stats. If, your finger prints, iris, etc matches, you cannot get a second Aadhar card in spite of having another ration card. This will help eliminate corruption and swindling. When subsidised LPG cylinders were linked to Aadhar number in Mysore( a city where trial was done) number of cylinders issued per day reduced by 45000 per day. These are visible proofs. In future, these cards will be useful in crime detection and many other purposes like identifying a dead body, etc
