Listen fool is GDP calculation responsible for hunger ?
What GDP has to do with not able to take meals ? It simply means GDP needs to be increased. For your information GDP per capita of Hariyana ( most developed) is 2000$ where as for USA around 27000$ and south Korea 8000$.
Suppose if GDP per capita shoots to 5000$ I would presume India will be a middle income country.

US GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is $15.4 trillion. The per capita income of US is $47,000 and not $27,000. Finally the GDP of New York City is $1.5 Trillion and Delhi Union territory is $46 billion (1/30 th of NYC).

This is GDP and not the PPP...that way Uttar Pradesh stands second even though it is amongst the most backward states in the country...
Lots of Gujarat bashers are using this as an opportunity to begin their non sense...!!
Gujarat has been the front runner in attracting investments as per the latest ASSOCHEM report and is the fastest growing state of India...!!

I think you missed per capita GDP..
gujarat's per capita GDP is till less than many non-hype states..!!! you have to agree that gujarat creates a lot of hype than it is entitled for, though it is progressing well. there are other states that are progressing more than gujarat but without this kind of hype..

Which state is progressing more than Gujarat when it is the fastest growing state of the country...??
Also Gujarat is at the top at getting investments...ahead of Maharashtra...!!
Forget economic growth...even the agricultural growth of Gujarat is the highest...!!

And regarding the hype...well...if facts provided by the central govt itself a hype then you need to get some other source...!!
Every state has to hype up its strengths to attract investments and tourists...You have any idea the kinda hypes they have in the tourism sector in Rajasthan , Karnataka and Kerala...!!!
