There is nothing to happy about owning cars or personal vehicles. Basically our govts have failed to provide public transportation to all atleast in the cities where population is rapidly growing.

The absence of a better public transport system added with the psyche of owning a vehicle at any cost have contributed to the use of fuel causing greater import of petroleum products involving great outflow of funds. What is called for is a improving public transport system and encouraging people to take recourse to that mode so that we can save substantially in foreign exchange outflow.
cars per 1000 people we have so much of chaos on the roads. Imagine our plights if it reaches 36, let alone the numbers mentioned for other countries. India as a country was conceived by the Gandhi family to be a 'country of the poor'. They have done everything and are doing everything that is necessary to maintain the status.
A pauper country like Greece has 483 cars per 1000 people. This does not represent anything. A country efficiently uses public service vehicles can show a low number of cars. India ight have the highest number of cycle rickshaws and Auto rickshaws per 1000 people.

nonsense....Greece has been a strong performed across the last 2-3 decades. It is only in the last 2-3 years that their economy has taken a beating
i just want to know what is the difference between purchasing power parity and GDP. GDP is what the wealth created by the nation in that year. so, how can purchasig capasity b so high..when our govt dont have money in savings and foreing exchange reserves of india are not quite impressive compared to china and other developed nations.

There are two ways to calculate GDP - GDP absolute (or Nominal) and GDP PPP- PPP stands for Purchase Power Parity. PPP takes into account the cost of goods in the country in context. For example, an income of USD 2,000 in India might be equal to income of USD 5,000 or more in USA. One of the PPP indicator is Big Mac index, i.e., how much does a big mac burger cost in a country.
iam quite amused to know that indians are at 163rd place when it comes to per capita income. i dont think its true.1070 dollars is huge money earned per year..

check out the world bank website to check the GDP percapita of other countries. India is marginally ahead of Pakistan...but even this has been possible because of the rapid strides made in the last 2 decades or so. during most of the 70s and 80s we even trailed Pakistan

Fremji is self proclaimed him self a richest man in India. Now a days he is sleeping 2 to 3 hours, due to fear of hidden illegal wealth. Sleeping pills also not showing any effect on him. He told many times Karnataka gov that he want to leave india, but he can't escape taking his wealth along with him.

Fremji's Wipro is like Municipality, they have only Testing projects & Netwrongking projects, in the history so far they delivered Billions of Failed Projects in the GULF countries alone.
vipro is king of delivering failed projects to Gulf Countries.
According to wipro its legal to deliver failed Projects & bill to Customer.

If you take a count of the total number of 2 wheelers in Inida,or 3 wheelers, or cycles or rickshaws or autos India will be no:1 in all categories.So think of that an be happy
