Just the right time to hike, as all school/college re-opens. Please, hike diesel by Rs.10, cylinder by Rs.400/- This will increase crime rate.

Nobody can stop these price raising until all Indian will not follow Baba Ramdev's "Bhrastachar Mitao Satyagrah" and for vyavastha parivartan. why this government is not doing something so people use very less vehicle and attract to go villages.
Walk for Health is the national slogan and it is implementing by discouraging fossil fuel usage (avoid global warming). If you cant walk use bicycles(Good for Heart). Follow naturopathy (Eat uncooked food). If you are so particular Heat your dishes by SOLAR ENERGY(cook in hot Sun). Follow your forefathers complete in all respects (Wear minimum clothing for office - No AC required too).

We have many good natural resources such as good sun light, sufficient wind flow which able to fill gap of energy we need same time we only want to look get things cheaper if something in limited amount we should look for some other alternative. For examples everyone want to buy large car noone want to Buy Reva, which one i think good if you want to go office everyday. But in india everything linked with status untill we not be serious about our surounding and easy to think for alternative we cant do anything and we should realize whats we have many other country don't have even not 12 hrs sun light and many more things.

our government and our indian mentality is that if anyone comes out with a natural related energy he will be wiped out by either banishing him for ever. so even if the natural energy is in abundance it cannot be used as we are bound by some democratical values and so we cannot enjoy any of these things. God bless our country.

The resources are finite. Consumption shooting up. Fossil fuel exporting countries are a tenth of consuming countries.
Where are the solutions? Face the facts. We have limited choices. Those who feel the angst have to step forward. Be the part of solutions than ever be part of the problem. Easy to say everyone is corrupt except me. That is not going to solve any issue.
Nuclear power is dangerous. Solar still years away, We import quality coal. So we depend on OPEC oil for 80% needs! We spend 80% forex earnings on energy imports

Sunil, let us face it - there is no tax. The consumption goes up double. Where is the forex to import? Taxing oil and gas is the source of revenue for most countries

who said nuclear power is dangerous. requires only careful handling. but due to over politiking every issue we are lagging behind. We Indians are more cautious in Nuclear area and due to embargo in last few decades had gained somuch really in terms of technology. only we had to use it.

I think nuclear power is better and same time we cant ignore solar and wind energy both are green one and we have good sunlight and wind. For nuclear energy we need to be faithful for selection installation place proper maintenance and operating good health reactor. And same time just prmot green energy fir examples in a Flat we can shift 5-10% energy on solar (put park light, staircase light and other lightning source on solar energy operated and rest havey things on electricity supplied on coal and other stuffs, i this way we can reduce dependency of conventional energy resources. I am not expert as peoples clam i just looking how to short out problems. For who only using car for office purpose please use electric car such as Reva i think best and in price limit not more than 5-4 lakh cost.

Krishna, I said in the light of Fukushima disaster. When we talk of nuclear power, the general refrain is - have it in your backyard! So how to break this jinx?

Misuse of gas cylinders which are heavily subsided, by the elite car owners is one major reason. They should be severely punished when caught and vigilance on them should be stepped. They are people without scruples, honesty or patriotism.
