by arun gowda on May 17, 2011 03:28 PM

When they plan to increase the fuel price ,the govt should come up with alternate options to cope with this inflation invest money in research for alternate resources, provide better infrastructure so people can cycle for smaller distances , why can't they provide huge subsidy on electic car & bring down the cost so it is affordable by all .& no pollution ,eco friendly,...

Petrol hike
by RAMA SURAT on May 17, 2011 03:20 PM  | Hide replies

Reduction in fuel price may not be feasable, but may be my absurd suggestions may:-
1.reduce taxes on fuel.load this on Gutka,ciggarates,cold drinks,big cars
2.Cars costing 5 lacs and above should be charged more for fuel and below less.
3.No car is allowed on the road having less than 4 persons.
4.Odd registration to ply one day and even no on next day.Subsdise cycle cost upto 50%.
5Free parking for cycles, costly for automobiles
5.Fixation of oil quota.
6.No registration fee for cars run on CNG,SOLAR,ELECRICITY
7.only one registration of car for one person

Congress hai hai
by Vikas Sharma on May 17, 2011 03:04 PM

I am make sure, will not vote for congress in future and will also ensure others not to vote for Congress. This is the most corrupt, irresponsible goverment I ever seen. People are shameless running government. If u some something to PM about inflation, he will reply you he si not good. Who is he? He is running the Country. If some one ask me about my family welfare, I have answers, plans and execution plan with facts. Why can he say such things? If you ask questions to Sharad Pawar about Mahangai. He will give such statements which may cause to increase more MAHANGAI. so they are promoting Mahangai. Sir yadia aam aadmi janta hai how to control Mahangai, Why not you? Ban the commodity business. You will see the immediate impact. And I request to all Leaders, Civil Servants and all aam aadmi of India, Please do your honest efforts to make India Developed Country. We have everything to become Super Power except Will. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat

Change our Lifestyle.
by Mahesh Shanbhag on May 17, 2011 02:57 PM

Encourage eco- friendly mass public transport/private transport system.Regular & quick service will bring a great relief to the public.
Encourage use of geared bicycles. If reqd, have seperate cycle lanes wherever possible.
Of their own people would prefer to walk & prefer to relocate near the area of work.
Share a vehicle while going to work.
Children should use school buses while going to schools, rather then personal cars drops. This should be mandatory.
Lets adapt ourselves to this changed condition.
May be one way this will be good for our own health(walking exercise) & the environment(lesser pollution).
May be a silent way to express ourselves by reducing the fuel consumption & hence the demand of fuel.

Pains due to petrol price hike
by Jomy Jos on May 17, 2011 02:56 PM

The petrol price hike has come common and habit now a days. And it is very much affecting the common man only who struggle to manage his life.If he buy a dream vehicle with all his hard and earned money in life, then he is soon to face tensions. On the otherhand,if the common man doesnot buy a vehicle thinking all tensions of petrol price and manitenance of vehicle , still it affects him by hike of Auto fare etc due to petrol price hike. If user is on demand, any rubbish will happen. So let us plan reduce consumption of petrol and there by Govt and oil company understands the common man started reacting slowly. Please join hands if you all feel this is good idea.

MP'S SALARY INCRESE
by vasudeva rao on May 17, 2011 02:37 PM

When the bill for increase in sal & perquisites of MPs was proposed, it was passed without any discussion. It was incresed 4 times without any justification. the recent increse in the price of petrol will increse the rate of inflation. The growth of DGP by the so called economists/ chelas of cong like rangarajan, monty ahluwalia are bullshit.
